On that faithful day, l decided to pay him a surprise visit; l wanted him to return home in the evening and meet me half naked in the bed or seductively dressed in the kitchen or on the couch .
For 3 years we have dated, that was the very first time I thought it romantically wise to surprise him and a least visit him unannounced. I visit him mostly on Sunday evenings and when l am off duty which depends on his schedule.
I am a Medical Doctor while he is a practising Barrister; we love and cherish each other so much that even in the midst of our busy schedules, we still make out time for ourselves hoping to take our leave before the year runs out to tie the knots.
Before I got to his house, I made a stop at the Mall to shop some groceries, new inner wears for him and myself, bottles of wine, love films, bedsheets, scented candles for the room, a pack of condom(lol) E. T. C. l felt so so excited that day because I was free from work I was going to do something I haven't done for years and the thought of seeing his astonished reaction when he gets home. I was going to prove to him that his busy medical Doctor fiancee is very romantic too. I took that break specially for him and guess what? the next day was his 35th Birthday. After shopping, I still had so much time left and because I didn't want to get home so early to stay alone, I stopped at Genesis Cinema to see some movies and then eat her tasty pop corn. He gets home by 8PM , so at exactly 6PM, I left for his house but unfortunately, I got stuck in traffic for about 30 mins.
Luckily for me, I made a turn to a connecting estate to his. On getting to his flat, I sighted a lady through his kitchen window, then I stopped and parked on the left hand side of the entrance so that she wouldn't notice after which l got out and tiptoed closer to the door; The lady was on my man's T shirt,and a jean bum short, unfortunately I could not see her face clearly.
At that moment I felt like dying as hot sweat began to drip from my head to toes, I was shaking as though I was epileptic, l couldn't move my legs anymore. l thought about us, the promises, the love, the trust, the assurance, the expectations, the sacrifices , my plans for us that evening. I couldn't believe Kelvin has been cheating on me upon all the love we shared and the sincere Commitment that that made us bond so well for 3 good years. I thought of either killing myself or the Lady "after all, l see people die virtually everyday and l don't care if both or either of us join them too" I said to myself.
The animal in me woke up, the bad side of me I have hidden for long came out immediately and of course I would not rest that night without hurting the lady too so that she could feel the pains I was feeling . I had the keys to the house, so l wore my hand gloves and quietly opened the door , walked straight to the kitchen, grabbed her by her neck and then pushed her head against the wall. She screamed and begged me to let her go, but I would not listen because my eyes were red and I was boiling with rage, l held her throat, squeezed it till she could not move again then I ran out of the house, jumped into my car and sped off.
