I was panting heavily when the door shut by itself. My heart skipped a beat when I felt a prod at my back.
I turned instantly and saw a woman with a pair of horn on her head. I jumped out of my skin because I haven't seen anything like that before.
"Welcome my son" the woman said in loud voice.
"Thank you ma" I replied with my voice shaky.
"You're currently at the den of the mistress of the underworld" the woman muttered with her voice like a blast of thunder.
"You're not permitted to talk when you're not asked to" she added.
I nodded my head, waiting for the things she'd utter.
"Be careful before you put pen to a paper.Before you sign any contract, make sure you read and know the meaning and implications of what you are signing" the woman said and sighed in grief.
I listened carefully to what she was saying.
"In 2007, I was twenty years old then. My father fell sick and I had no money to take him to the hospital.
I hesitantly went to the hospital near our territory and beseeched the doctor to help me out that my dad was dying. The doctor ordered that I must sign a contract before helping me out.
Due to my father's condition,I couldn't read and know the meaning and consequences of what I was signing.
I signed the contract and the doctor attended to my father.
After my dad had recovered,the doctor showed me the contract I signed.
I was dumbstruck and couldn't believe my eyes.
The contract says that my womb will be removed.
I pleaded the doctor to have mercy on me but he insisted that my abdomen must be taken off.
I had no choice and the doctor removed my womb. I cried bitterly but my dad consoled me.
Few weeks later,my dad fell sick again and di.ed this time. I was depressed and suicidal thoughts kept flowing through my mind.
On the 27th day of June,I committed suicide because I couldn't bear it anymore" The woman said all this with hot tears flowing down her cheeks.
I was indeed touched and I felt like crying thought I was kinda afraid.
"My son you've successfully completed your journey,I really adore you" the woman said.
Instantly,the scene changed and I saw myself laying on a hospital bed.
My mother was sitting beside "Oh my God" she shouted and bursted into tears of joy.
She hugged me tightly and I narrated everything that transpired to her.
"Ewoo nwam" she said as though she was froze with thoughts. " I thank God" she muttered and didn't stop blessing God's name.
