? THE DEADLY JOURNEY ?(A MUST READ IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT BAKASSI BOYS)
EPISODE 3
My heart started racing and I was heaving heavily when a loud voice said that I ate the flesh of a corpse and drank quantity of blood filled in the bottle.
I had no clue that the meat they served me was that of a corpse because it was delicious and yummy.
I didn't not know that the flesh of we humans are palatable and mouthwatering.
"Hope you enjoyed the sumptuous delicacy" a loud voice asked me as the cavernous hall went dark again.
"Yes,I really enjoyed it" I said looking at the silhouette of the figure.
"I know it will be nauseating when I told you that the meat came from a woman who had bitten the dust but we don't waste meat here" The figure roared like an ang.ry lion.
"Are you now ready to hear the history of those those that butc.hered my family?" The figure asked.
"Yes sir, I'm ready" I replied sitting down on the floor looking at the figure having my heart set on.
"My son,the Bakassi Boys were created in 1998 by traders in the Nigerian city of Aba who wanted to protect themselves from arm.ed robb.ers and hood.lums.
After they succeeded in reducing cri.mes in Aba,the Bakassi Boys became in high demand and their activities spread to other Cities in eastern Nigeria.
"They were very active in Anambra,Imo,and Abia state" The figure narrated in a low tone.
"Who was their leader" I asked.
"Kingsley Chimezie was the leader of Bakassi Boys and he was the one who murdered me in cold blood but fortunately he is here now bearing the consequences".
"Where are they from? Are they from the East?"I asked while coolval Stories cogitating about everything the figure had uttered.
"Yes,my son" Members of the Bakassi Boys are primarily of Igbo ethnicity. They are generally young able bodied men in their twenties or thirties. Although some members are under the age of eighteen.
Members are drawn from traders of various commercial markets, and they joined the organization voluntarily.
They had about 3,500 members when I was slaught.ered and they had magi.cal powers and carry char.ms that made them invincible.
Members of the group used "Ma.gic" to determine the guilt of alleged criminals and their techniques involves a mac.hete imbued with powerful "ma.gic char.ms":
the Matchete is placed on the suspected criminal's body and turns red if the person is guilty – that was what they did to my wife and my son.
The Bakassi Boys was also used by politicians to Target perceived political opponents and they were disbanded in 2002 though their activities did not stop completely" The figure narrated wholly with a low tone like a father advising his son.
"You've to move on my son, this is the first phase of your journey" the figure said.
Instantly,I couldn't see the silhouette of any figure again– the figure had gone.
I was really afraid.
I turned back immediately and saw a man whose eyes were ripped off and who had no nose and mouth.
He had teeth on his face which looks like tacks.
I was afraid of my shadow when a voice said "my son run! run!"
I listened to the voice and started running while the man started pursuing–it seemed he was a vampire.
The man was running like a greased lightning and I was panting as I was drained.
Unfortunately, the man caught me and tried to shatter my face with his sharp teeth but I escaped from his hands and ran to a metal door which shut by itself.
