EPISODE 2

I was scared stiff of the skeletons coming after me. They were coming like a bat out of hell with their axes and cutlasses.

My heart kept misses a bit as they were approaching closer.

I had no strength because I was exhausted.

How can I step my legs on those decomposed bodies? "I asked myself as I continued dragging my feet".

Instantly, I stood up and decided to hitch my wagon to a star. I started running as though I was bats in the belfry.

My feet wasn't cold anymore as I kept running and the predators kept pursuing.

Fortunately,I jumped off the path where the decayed bodies were kept and saw a cavernous hall. The portal door was made of bricks with concave structure.

I ran inside like a shót and the door closed immediately. The hall was very dark and I couldn't see anything.

My heart sank inside my belly when I saw a silhouette of a figure in the hall but I couldn't tell if it was a woman or a man.

"Welcome my son, I'm your uncle" I heard voice that sounded like a blast of thunder.

"My uncle? but my father did not tell me I had an uncle" I asked myself as I put my ears to the ground.

"I know you are perplexed that I said that I am your uncle" The voice said with a deafening tone. "I díed a shameful de.ath and your dad did not tell you because he is ashamed of me" the voice added.

I couldn't utter any word as I kept listening.

"I and my family was butchered by the bakassi boys before you were born". The voice said with a low tone.
"Do you want to know what happened?" the voice asked.
"Yes sir" I answered with butterflies in my stomach.
"I came back from work on the 4th of July 2004 and started looking for the money I kept in my saving box. I was stunned and looked out for my wife and son and asked them if they saw any money.
They feigned absolute ignorance that they did not see any money
I ran out of thought because I was saving half of my income there.
I opted to contact bakassi boys so that they'd investigate the matter because they had magical powers.
They finished their investigation and found out that my wife and son stole the money and they made away with them.
I followed them immediately to their station.

Right in front of me they slaught.ered my wife and son into different parts.
They started from their shoulders down to their legs. I was pleading with them to pardon my wife and son but they refused.
I agitated and they slaughte.red me like a chicken." the voice said all these with blood flowing down his cheeks.

The reddish colour of the blood showed in the dark.

I was bated breath. "Who are bakassi boys" I asked curiously.

I'd explain that later, some of them are here with me ,sit down some food will be served to you."the voice said.

I sat down though I was afraid.

The opacity of the hall changed instantly to transparency and I saw a plate of rice on the ground full of meat with a soft drink which wasn't tasty.

I ate the food quickly because I was very famished.

After eating,a thunderous voice said "my son you've successfully consumed the flesh of a de.ad body and it was her blood you drank.

I broke out in cold sweat and felt like puking out some food contents.
