More than once the media has bombarded us with news of high profile domestic violence cases, where a man or woman is suspected of hurting their spouse and in a worst case scenario murdering them with or without a history of abuse.
Have you ever for once thought of how a person can turn from living with and loving a person to torturing them? What kind of person resorts to any sort of domestic violence against the person they vowed to love and protect all the days of their life?
What kind of person thinks it is okay to continually cheat, humiliate or talk down to their life partner? What kind of person has sex with another and still sleep sound with their life partner?
A common pattern of domestic abuse is that the villain shifts between violent and abusive behavior to heartfelt promises to change. And in rare cases does the abused leave and the abuse gets so bad until it gets worse and possibly lead into death.
But have you ever heard of the rise of the abused? When the abused becomes the abuser? Yes many would wonder as in why would anyone repeat the same behavior that has hurt them so profoundly. No one consciously becomes abusive and when the victim becomes the villain it's mostly because that place becomes familiar. It becomes like home; control, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, intimidation, isolation, verbal abuse, using male privilege and economic abuse to name a few are all examples of domestic violence.
Is it still a crime when the abused becomes the abuser? When the abuser decides to take the law into their own hands? Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but at what point does one have to call it quits before they can take the law into their own hands before they are suffocated.
A husband's infidelity does not break a home? A wife should stay no matter how much she is hurt because of the kids? A side chick shouldn't be blamed because the man went out to pursue her? A wife should act like queen and wait for the relationship to end because she knows her place?
Emotional abuse can start from the simplest of things and birth other forms of abuse, but pray to never take the best of someone; your downfall will be merciless.

'You could have finished him, what stopped you?' He asked looking at her
She stood up and paced about the room, this was beginning to feel like a job interview but she liked to make him sweat.
'Finishing him would have been easy a thing to do.' She said no emotions written on her face
He got his writing pad and wrote something that only he could understand
'And the young lady?'
'His mistress you mean?'
He swallowed hard, not sure if he liked the tone of her voice.
'Yes her.'
'Her who?' She asked, playing with him was fun
'His mistress.' He said before swallowing hard
'That's a story for another day but would you like to know the Best of Me that he took?' She asked with a smile
'I am all ears.' He responded putting his recorder on
