OBSESSED
Episode 12
The car drove down, approaching the dead end. With the aid of the beautifully lit street lights, everywhere was bright and one could see a needle if it falls to the ground.
On seeing the car approach, jade carefully adjusted not wanting to blow her cover. As she watched on, the driver in the car seemed puzzled at first then he came outside of the car….

Lizzy is seen lying on the bench set for visitors to the hospital. A doctor walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder jolting her from her sleep.
“yes doctor, any news yet?” she asked, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. The doctor sighed and sat close to her, this made Lizzy anxious
“before I go further, where’s your sister”
“she’s out to do something, you can talk to me” Lizzy said, almost raising her voice, loosing her mother was the last thing she wanted
“please calm down miss”
“doctor please fucking tell me what is going on. Is my mother dead? Is she dead? Did the person succeed in killing my mom?” she was already crying
“no no no miss. She’s not dead but still in a coma. The drug they sedated her with got deep into her system. She’s in fact a very strong woman, many people will not survive what she just survived. But for how long she’s going to remain unconscious, we don’t know, since she’s a strong person, it won’t be long. We’re currently doing our best in bringing her back to consciousness. Please stay strong for her. That’s your job” he replied patting her back and left
Lizzy just stared into space, scared for her life, that of Jade and for her mum.

“why the hell are you stalking me?” Jade asked calmly, coming out from behind the person which made him jolt. He turned slowly, still mute
“I deserve an answer mister. You fucking stalk me every time and you just stand there without saying anything” she stood eye to eye to the stranger. She knew that this wasn’t the person she saw the day she was driving to her mother’s place. She felt connected to that person but not this one.
“I’m detective Gibson, we currently have a case which you somehow you’re connected to. We were doing a background check on it” he said, showing her his ID
“you are supposed to come and take me to the station, ask questions and let me know what I did wrong. You don’t fucking stalk someone who has her whole world turned upside down.” She was frustrated and angry. Her life wasn’t going as planned. “It’s even good I saw you. Let’s go to the station I have a complaint to lay” she concluded and entered her car, waiting for the puzzled officer to lead the way.

“miss we understand that you’re facing a very hard time now and your mother might be dead but you have to calm down. These evidences aren’t evidence. We can’t start up an investigation with just a head mask and a glass. The video you showed us doesn’t fit into any one’s description. That figure is just a normal person visiting a hospital. These things you just said doesn’t make up a clear evidence. We understand that you’re facing a hard time now but you have to take things easy. We would come over to check her and see a way to assist you but just these things doesn’t make your case valid” the officer in charge told Jade after telling them her ordeals. A tear dropped from her eyes
“no officer! I know what I’m saying. I’ve not been able to sleep for a long time now because of how serious this is. Please help me! You have to do something” she shouted, at the same time crying.
Yes she is a lawyer but being a lawyer doesn’t solve everything. She needs hands. Solving this mystery alone isn’t easy. She cried the more when the officer told her there’s nothing to be done to her case.
As she got away from the station, she cried even more. She didn’t know where to start from. Everything was confusing.
Her life was a mess, she thought of suicide, after all there was nothing she was living for, she doesn’t have a womb and the bastard that made her this way had ran away without saying anything, now her mother must have died and the only thing she had left is her career and Lizzy. Nothing else mattered, she wanted to end it, to just will her properties to Lizzy and just die.
“hey. It’s okay” she heard a voice but didn’t care to look at the person “come on, wipe those tears. I’ll help you” the voice said which made Jade turned to look at who talked and it happened to be the detective. Suddenly she saw a ray of hope. A little bright light in the dark tunnel, she certainly wasn’t expecting anyone at this time help her since no body believed her story nor wanted to help her
“you what?” she asked, turning around fully. She wanted to be sure of what she just heard
“I’ll help you but you have to tell me everything, everything you feel is connected this. I’m also working on something related to what you just told that officer but when I wanted to take up the case, my superiors didn’t allow me. That is why I was doing it on a low key in order not to draw attention. It is now left for you to trust me and let’s work together” he said, stretching out his hand for a shake. She took it and he wiped her tears.
They got into the car and jade told him everything, everything including the disappearance of Dess, her mother and Boston. She really needed someone to talk to after all…
TBC I’ll post another episode shortly. But I can add another episode making it two episodes if I get 300 likes each before 2pm. What do you say? Deal?
