"Mummy, I dont just know what happened to me, all I knew was that I was told to pack my bags and leave the house which I did without questioning" Kemisola said to her mother who was just staring at her and shaking her head.
"You mean you decided to leave the house of your husband, do you people have a fight" she queried
"Hmmm can't really say but I and his mother had a quarrel and that was all I know. I just find myself here" Kemisola replied.
"Ahh, this is serious, I hope you are not under a spell, Kemisola" she asked her.
"Mummy leave that one, am not under any spell, I just don't want to see Olamilekan again, I dont want him as my husband" Kemisola replied her mother looking very serious.
"Ahh, are you really sure this is not a spell now, hear yourself out, you packed out of your husband's house without any reason and now the man whom you have always profess your love to has now become something you dont want to see. I hope you eye is clear Kemisola" Her mother Asabi questioned her.
"Mummy leave that, I can't go back to that house, I like the way I am now, you know what I dont want to have anything do with him again" she replied.
"Not in this house will you say such, you want to become like your two sisters who also left their husband place and staying alone till date without any reason, huh" Asabi asked her.
"Do you think I will house you here, lai lai, it is not possible, you will have to go back to your husband's house and I know that by God's grace, he will accept you back, I trust in God" Asabi said to her daughter.
"You are only saying your own mother, if I can't stay here, then I would go and rent a flat on my own" she said and left her mother looking helplessly in the sitting room.
"Ahh, this is problem, what will I tell people that all my female children are now back at home from their husband's house, it is not that they had any quarrel but just within a year of marriage. This Kemisola's own baffles me a lot, after all the sweet words she always use for her husband, she ended up leaving his house, hmmm, but this one I will not just leave aside like I did on the other two, I will make sure she gets back to her husband very early tomorrow." Asabi said to herself and went to her room.
She could not sleep throughout the night as her mind was just drifting to Kemisola.
"**********************
Following the moving out of Kemisola, Clara took up her position as she made sure she did all the home cleaning, washing of clothes just to please mama.
" you are even better than that idiot, she thought she was wise, I have shown her that am not to be taken for granted."Iya Labake said to Clara.
"Yes ma, she is such a dunce, mama, she does not know how to care of mother-in-law" Clara replied and smiled to herself.
"By the time I finish dealing with you and your son, you will know am not a lady that can be pushed around but for now, I have to remain gentle" She soliloquy while she continue washing the clothes.
" Mama, I will do the cooking after am done with washing of clothes "Clara said to her.
" never, you can't do the cooking, so far I am here, I will be doing that. I will be the one cooking for my son."Iya Labake replied her.
"Really" Clara asked in shock.
"Yes, that is how I love it and if you want to stay here, then you must accept whatever I tell you" Iya Labake said to her.
Clara was a bit shock, she knew with the way Iya Labake had dealt with Kemisola, she is not a match for her except she seeks more spiritual power to challenge her and that could only be done if she prepared herself better.
"Alright mama, I have heard you" she replied and went to meet Lekan who was looking like someone that was hypnotised.
She flung herself around him and he could not shake her away from himself, he was just playing along with her. Clara knew that her spell on Lekan was already working but all could only be effective if she was able to win the heart of mama to her side or better still send her away from the house.
"Am not even her for love nor did I want to marry Olamilekan, all I want is just to have name on his properties and take larger share of the things he had." Clara said to herself.
As she was playing with Olamilekan, there was a knock on the door and she made her way to open the door, on getting there she notices Kemisola and her mother were the one standing there.
"How may I help you" Clara asked them.
"Eh, wonder shall never end, how dare you ask me that question" Kemisola replied her clapping her two hands together.
"Yes, I need to ask you because the last time I checked you packed your things and left this house" Clara replied her while Kemisola's mother looked in surprise.
"Ahh, ahh, if I leave the house, is it your own to tell me that am not allowed in my house" Kemisola asked her.
"Who told you this is your house, keep decieving yourself, you have no right or belongings of yours in this house, so to your tent O Israel" Clara said to kemisola still standing on the way not allowing them inside the house.
"Is this not your friend that was your best lady during your wedding" Asabi asked Kemisola
" yes o, she is, I don't know what is wrong with her, just yesterday she was like a friend but today a husband snatcher" Kemisola said to her mother.
"You don't have the right to call me an Husband snatcher, Olamilekan belongs to me and no one born of a woman, I repeat no one born of a woman can take him away from me" Clara vowed.
"Are you sure, you are normal, do you know that I was the one who housed you here, you came here to help me when I said I am weak but I never knew you were a solve in sheep clothing's" Kemisola replied Clara was smiling mischievously.
"Ahh, mogbe(am in trouble) Kemisola you mean that you were the one that invited devil into your house" Asabi shouted at her daughter.
"Ahh, I warned you a lot, I called you a day before your wedding that now that you are married, you should be careful with friends that you will be bringing into your husband house. I warned you particularly about this lady standing here, I told you I don't really like her but you said you will manage her, sew what you have caused for yourself now" Asabi said with her hands on her head.
"She just an ingrate mother, I took her as a Friend but see what she has used to pay me back" Kemisola said to her mother.
"Oh, how am I a bad friend, do you think good things are made for only you, Olamilekan is wealthy, caring, humble and even with total meekness but my own ex husband was the opposite, he beats me always, a drunkard, he smokes and womanise, do you think I was happy in the relationship. No, I was not. I endured hardship a lot during my stay with him. He has no savings, I was even the one feeding him."
"And then you came, always telling me how Olamilekan was taking good care of you, Olamilekan bought you this, he took you to Dubai, he spoilt you with gifts, he does this, he does that, he is caring and many more and you now expect me to be happy when my own husband is the exact opposite of him. So I had to find a means and since I was already a divorcée I decided to use every opportunity to get Olamilekan to myself and thanks for your negligence and spiritual insensitivity, I got the best part of you. Now, am the one that would be enjoying all the goodies and mind you he is a good player." Clara explained to Kemisola and her mother and taunt them.
"Ahh, Clara you had all these in your heart and still smiles at me when we meet together" Kemisola said to her biting her finger.
"What is there that no one has done, am.not the first person to take her friends husband and I would not be the last" Clara said to her smiling.
"After all, am just a friend and not your siblings even if am your sibling, it is not all your secrets that you must be telling me. It is not all the sweet part of your relationship you should be telling me always, sometimes just tell me something negative, it is not everyone that loves to see you smile, even those that smiles at you might not wish you good, so what!!" Clara lectured Kemisola who was weeping.
"But you called your self a Christian, yeye Christian, who can't pray for spiritual insight, a Christian that still mix things of the world with her life, am just looking at you, you are nothing but a Lip Christian, you claim being a Christian with your lips but your heart is far from God. Ahh. Ahh, you better join my gang and let me tush you and upgrade you" Clara said to Kemisola who was crying profusely.
Asabi was looking speechlessly, she could not talk as they were still standing outside as Clara refused to let them into the sitting room.
"Hmm, but what you did was wrong" Asabi replied her
"Mama, I did right because if am your child, you will support me" Clara said to h
All of a sudden, Kemisola became violent and pushed Clara away from the way but she stood her ground and refused to move , it led to exchange of words and it became really intended that it drew the attention of Iya Labake who was sleeping in her room.
"Who are those people shouting like mad people" She screamed.
She came down to check what was going on and when she saw Kemisola and her mother, she just hissed and was about going back when Kemisola called her.
"Mama, it is me now" she said.
"Who are you, I don't know you, who do you seek, what is your business" she asked.
"Ahh, my in-law, it is your daughter, your sons wife" Asabi replied her
"My son has only one wife and here she is" Iya Labake pointed at Clara who was clwaing her face.
"Ahh" both women shouted.
"What is wrong with you, if you don't leave here now, I will fight with you" Iya Labake said to them
"We have only come to beg on her behalf, please she made a mistake, forgive her" Asabi said to her.
"Let her go and beg herself, leave her now or else, I will shout on you that you are thieves" Iya Labake shouted at them.
As they were exchanging words, Olamilekan came down and found them, he noticed Kemisola and his heart skips a beat but he was manipulated by Clara and he immediately lost interest in Kemisola.
"Come over here dear" Clara said to him and kissed his lips.
"I hope you are not offended, the virtuous woman" Clara said looking at Kemisola.
"Both husband and wife are lips Christian without fire..you are just lukewarm, very prayer less" Clara added.
"olamilekan!!!" Kemisola shouted.
"Who are you, please" he asked and embraced Clara in his arms.
