Getting to the door, I was shocked to see who was standing before me, mama, I mean My biological mother, I almost fainted, how could mama come unannounced, if I knew she was coming I would have asked Beauty to go to her parents place, I wouldn't want mama seeing her pregnant, thinking its my child when it's not, oh my God,,,

Aaaaaa,Cyril,so you are looking at me like cinema, I should remain outside, are you not going to open the protector, mama shouted, bringing me back to the scene, oh mama, am so sorry, you are welcome, come on leave the road let me pass,where IS Beauty,before I could say jack,she was already inside.

So after marriage you forgot you have a mother in-law ,you have refused to come visiting, mama said, not noticing Beauty was asleep, mama, she's sleeping,i said, just then,Beauty woke up, our voices must have done the magic, ah mama, welcome ma, she stood up to greet, aaaaaaaaaa, my daughter, mama said with all happiness seeing Beauty was pregnant with a child, I was angry, oh yes I was, but seeing this I am no longer angry, I can understand, this is the reason you have not been able to visit, oh my daughter, you are just like me, when I was pregnant with this big head you call your husband, chai, it was war, you see his sturbborness, it's follow come, this boy will disturb me, I couldn't do anything nor go anywhere, it was that bad, when he kicks, it's as if a football game was going on in my stomach, so if his child is giving you though time,it got it from it father, mother teased and they both laughed, I had never seen my wife laughed in such a long time, but as she did, I could see the Miss Beautiful I fell helplessly in love with, oh I wish I could retain that smile of hers,but the situation is so complicated. But one thing that kept me going was the wonderful support of his father, oh my husband was there for me,mama continued , he understood what I was going through, in fact it was like we were both pregnant, when I wouldn't sleep at night because of the baby, he too won't, when he closes from work, he's rushing home to be with me, he prepares most of my meals, because anytime I make the meals, I find it difficult to eat, he was a supper man, hope this boy is been helpful in this your state, mama asked, but I quickly cut in, mama can you stop talking about me like I am not here, for heaven sake mama am not a boy, really? who told you,you are not a boy, see you might be a grown man, and even an expectant father, it doesn't stop you from being my boy.

Mama let me look for something you'd eat, Beauty said in suppressed laughter, oh no my child, you can't be stressing yourself and my grand child, I will look for what to eat, if I can't, this big head will do it, just sit down and tell me your experience so far,,, they both sat.At that point I gave up, I took mama's things to the guest room, reaching there, It dawned on me that Beauty's things have been there, what would mama say if she sees these, well I'd find something to tell her, I said.

I went to the kitchen and quickly made something for us to eat, it was yam and egg sauce, I called both of them to come eat, as I wouldn't want mama to suspect anything, I serve the meal, but Beauty's face wasn't brightened at all, like the food was smelling, what IS it I asked her, my daughter what's it mama cut in, what's the matter, I asked, see your life, you are not caring at all, so you don't know you are to feed her, and pet her so she can eat, what?, I exclaimed, yesssssss mama continued, you have to, expecting mothers needs all the Care in the world, especially a first time mom like her,okay mama, I went closer to her and started feeding her, she was still not happy, abi you don't like the food, mama asked her, she nodded affirmatively, what?, you don't like this food, mama, what is wrong with this food now, I asked, before mama could even answer me, she ran to the sink and started vomiting, she almost vomited her intestine, mama kept petting her, I was shocked watching the drama, is she acting this up because mama is here, or has this been going on, I was just oblivious?

Mama sat her down in the sitting room and kept tapping her telling her sorry like she fell, what are you going to eat now, mama asked, suya, garri and watermelon ,she replied, oya you heard her, there must be garri at home, so go and buy the suya and watermelon, mama said to me, mama it's almost 10,where can I get watermelon, the suya won't be a problem,but the ~watermelon I can't promise, I said, you would have to get it ohhhh,if she doesn't eat what she wants, she might end up throwing up again like you saw. I looked at both~ women, and didn't know what to tell them. I took my car keys and went out insearch of suya and watermelon.

It was difficult but thankfully I was able to get them, Beauty ~smiled as I came in with the items, and that was worth the trouble, mama served the Garri,you need to see her eating the combination like it was the best meal she ever had, I couldn't~ help but smile at some point. Mama retired to the guest room she needed to sleep. I went to our bedroom, minutes later, Beauty came and was trying to get a bed sheet and pillow.What are you doing,i asked, I want to get a bed sheet and pillow, so I could sleep in the sitting room, she said, so how do we explain that to mama, until mama lives, you shall be sleeping here, I said,she came to the bed and took her space.

I woke up to answer the call of nature, when I saw my wife naked on the bed, she always loves to sleep naked though, but seeing her growing baby bump, I couldn't help but smile, it was Beautiful seeing how a child grows in its mother,i started to imagine how it would have felt or be like if this baby was mine, I know I would have rub the belly, kissed it, and tell my little one how much I love him or her, and how I couldn't wait to see him or her, certainly it mother would have been sleeping with my hands wrapped around her body. Oh if wishes were horses.unfortunately the situation wasn't so easy.

For the first time, I knelt down, and open my heart and voice to God, I asked for peace in my home, and for him to teach me how to forgive my wife, and see her as that special Miss Beautiful I was head over hills in love with....
