THE young girl stared on at him in shocked wondering how his looks could change so much. He looked lot more handsome than ever. She was completely speechless.
"You! " he screamed out at her getting her nervous at first. His scream had really gotten into her head that she couldn't think straight. The rest of the family stared on.
"You..." she replied calmly and walked toward her mum like a scared child holding her by the arm trembling with fear.
"Do you know him? " Her mum asked in confusion.
"Mum, he actually bumped into me on my way to school last week. Aside that, I have never seen him before " she confessed still trembling.
"You laughed at me! " Christian continued in anger. She got confused realizing his improvement.
"Wow, you speak so well all of a sudden"
"Yes! Better than you. In fact today I go to your school, I didn't saw you. I waited for hours! " She covered her mouth roaring out in laughter. "Why are you laughing? "
"You are an illiterate dear, so know your limits. What makes you think you are better than me? In what way are you better than me? Tell me! "
"I am far better than you. I can do things you can not do" he replied with a furious look pointing his finger at her.
"Don't dare point your devilish finger at me! " She replied pushing his hand rudely away from her face.
"How dare you?! " he raised his left hand to hit her but her sister came in time to rescue her from his anger. She held his hands immediately before it could ever hit her.
"You stupid fool want to hit my sister?! Who do you think you are to hit my sister? How dare you?! Are you this shameless? Are you this mannerless?! Don't you know what respecting a woman means? If not for your nice aunt here I would have beaten you up with my heels. Brainless illiterate. Useless. An illiterate will almost remain an illiterate okay?! You are handsome in looks but ugly inside. If you ever attempt to hit my sister again, you won't know what strikes you!!! " Sandra threatened him and rushed out pulling her sister who was in tears behind her. His aunt watched on boiling in anger with a speechless look. She wasn't sure of what to do to curtail the situation. He had really cross the line.
"Teach your stupid Nephew manners. How dare he try to hit my daughter in front of me. I thought it would be good be wise educating him at least but now I see it will be useless doing so. He is very crude" At this words the woman walked out leaving his aunt heart broken. She turned him toward her and gave him a sounding slap getting him confused.
"Why did you over react?! That was the only option you had to go back to school but you really disappointed me Chris. She agreed to help you with your expenses. Everything! But you have ruined it all. I am very sure you are happy now. No school for you anymore. Stand there like a statue and enjoy your life as an illiterate. I am sure you will be really happy that way"
"Aunty, I am sorry. She was the one that... "
"Keep quiet please! You are crude. If you really want to learn, go to your sister. She will help you. Don't ever tell me to help you again" Christian got confused and wondered what had happened to everyone. What wrong had he done? Why were they furious at him? The girl had started first. Why couldn't they realize it? The girl was really annoying. Very annoying! It was due to her all this was happening. She was such a curse.
He walked into his room and laid on his bed staring at the ceiling. He could still smell the perfume all over him. What was it if h now? His aunt had already given up.
