Imo Carnival is created to be an
annual event that will attract over forty thousand (40,000) visitors into owerri the capital territory
of Imo state Nigeria.
The Vision is to help build a united Nigeria
through entertainment tourism, talent and culture.
Imo carnival is programmed to run annually. The maiden event is designed to run for seven (7) days from the 6th to the 13th of May 2014 with Different activities to keep the people entertained.
Imo is the Heartland of South East of Nigeria and its state
capital Owerri is reachable within
an hour from the capital of neighboring states of Enugu, Abia, Rivers state, Anambra,
Ebonyi.
Activities for the carnival:-
(1) Opening parade--Imsu to freedom square.- 6th May
(2) Command performance-- Freedom square. 7th May
(3)Contemporary performance/Igbo poetry and folk night-- Bongo square. 8th May
(4) Night of comedy and laughter/stage drama--Freedom square. 11th May
(5) At his table with sponsors and guest/Imo merit award--Int’l conference center. 12th May
(6) Super splash (musical show)-- Wethedral.
(7) Closing parade -- Emmanuel College to freedom square. 13th May
