Noah’s POV.

What’s happening here?
I looked at Blake and scoffed.

Is this a prank or what?
Mother was shedding tears non-stop.
Anna couldn’t move.

Carla was astonished as I was.
I couldn’t believe it.

Father was just consoling Mother.
Chris and Theresa had a sad expression on.

“What kind of joke is this Blake?”I asked angrily.
“Tell me is not true”Anna yelled and the tears escaped her eyes.

So it’s true.
I lost my son! I lost my three year old son.

The person I just started to get to know.
My Diego. God!

What joke is this? It still feels like a dream.
Anna came to me hitting me on my chest.

“Anna st..stop this”I said barely audible.
I didn’t know when a tear escaped my eye.

The second time I have cried in my life.
First when Anna cheated and now I lost my son.

“Give me back my baby”Anna yelled crying and hitting my chest.
“Anna calm down”Carla said sobbing.

“He is sleeping right , he will wake up”She wishpered wiping her tears.
Before I could talk Anna entered Diego’s ward.

We all followed.
And there he was lying so pale with a white sheet covering him exposing only his face.

“Baby , Diego wake up”Anna yelled shaking him.
He didn’t bulge. So he really is dead.

“Anna stop it”I said trying to stop her.

“You said you love me right?”she asked and all I could do was nod.
“Then bring my son back”she shouted and I shook my head.

I left the ward and saw a familiar figure approaching me.
The figure became clear and I frowned angrily.

I just lost my son.
I don’t need any problems.

“What the h*ll are you doing here”I said gathering all the little courage I had to face him.

My sudden outburst attracted Carla , Blake and some other nurses.

“I wanted to see you”Damien said calmly and I snorted.
This isn’t Damien.

Obviously something is wrong.
“You are here to mock us right?”Carla asked and he frowned.

“Mock who?”he asked back and I scoffed.
He is playing the deaf games.

“That’s not your business , why are you here?”I yelled Impatiently.

I just lost my son.
I don’t need another headache.

“I deserve that , I wanted to apologise for all I have done to you”he said and my eyes widened in shock.

What just happened?
Damien apologized?

He stretched a small rubber to me and I took it Questionly.

“What’s this?”I asked anxiously.
“Open it when am gone and there’s a letter there , forgive me after reading” he said and left.

I wanted to call him back but I restrained.
I opened the rubber with Carla and Blake beside me.

“What?”Carla yelled when we found a syringe inside.
It was the only thing that could save Diego.

My God!

Nala’s POV.

I was pacing around my room angrily.
How did my plans fail?

I need to go to the hospital.
I have been absent for a day.

Oh God! I have to talk to Hailey.
I heard a knock and I grumbled.

“Who is there?”I asked angrily.

“Ma’am someone is here to see you”a maid said outside and I scoffed.

Who is there?
Since Mother and Father no one has been here.
Who could it be?

I went to the hall to see Damien.
Huh?
How did he know where I live?

“Hi Nala”he said with scasasam the moment he saw me.

I rolled my eyes and folded my hands looking at him.

“What do you want?”I asked angrily.

“I told Noah about what we did”he said and was shocked.

How could he?
What is wrong with him?
Why is he destroying all my plans?

I think his time is up.
Anna’s POV.

I watched as Diego slept peacefully after eating some food and taking his medicines.

I nearly lost him!
Well a lot has happened during to his few hours.

The package Noah said Damien gave him contained a letter and a syringe containing a liquid that could save Diego.

He pleaded for the pains and misfortunes he caused.

He said he planned all this with Nala and am still surprised Nala was behind this.

I didn’t know she could be this evil.
Noah later injected Diego and he coughed out all the substance.

Well Noah and Blake are going to look for Nala.

Am still surprised Nala was behind my separation with Noah.

She was desperate!
She wanted Noah for herself.

I don’t blame Damien.
He was just manipulated.
And he was blinded by jealousy.

I hate it that my son had to go through death.
God! I didn’t know what I would have done.

The door opened and I turned to see Hailey coming in with her husband.

“How is he?”she asked and I smiled.

“He is fine , he just finished eating”I said and she nodded.

“Am sorry”she said and I glanced at her.
“Pardon?”I asked and she smiled lightly.

“I saw the letter , I can’t believe I wanted my son to marry Nala , the girl who was behind your separation and wanted to kill my grandson”she said and kissed Diego’s cheeks.

He stirred and went back to sleep again.

“It’s okay Hailey , it’s all fine”I said and we hugged.
God! I am so happy right now!

Carla and Blake came in and we disengaged from the hug.

I hugged Noah’s father to and he smiled before hugging me back.

“Can’t wait for him to call me grand father”he said and I smiled before we disengaged.

“Where is Noah?”Hailey asked.
“He has gone to look for Nala with Chris”Blake said and she frowned.

“Okay”she said nevertheless.
“Can’t believe I almost lost you”Carla said kissing Diego’s hair.

His eyes opened and he squirmed on the bed.
He groaned in pain and I smiled.

“Will someone take of this drip it’s hurting him”Fred , Noah’s father said angrily.

Blake nodded and went to take it.

“Ouch!!!”a virgous tiny voice said when blake removed pulled the pin out of his hand.

“Sorry!”Hailey , Noah’s mother said and I smiled.

How loving!!!
“Momma”his tiny voice croaked and I smiled at him.

“How are you?”I asked and he frowned.
“You’ve asked me that a thousand times Momma”he said and I smiled.

*You won’t understand…I almost lost you* I said in my mind.

“Grand mother and Grand father”his voice croaked a bit.

They smiled and went to him.

Chris’s POV.

Noah and I entered the house of Nala.
I never knew she could do all the things Noah told me.

Woah!
She must be very evil.
How can she think of killing a three year old kid because of her selfishness.

We entered when she was about to stab the guy who brought the letter with a knife.

Damien I think?

“Nala”Noah screamed shocked.
“Oh look who is here , the romantic doctor , Noah Stewart , the man I have always loved”she said sacrasstically.

Noah motioned for me to help Damien while he took care of her.

I quickly dialed the cops number and talked to them.

I helped Damien up , he was badly bruised and tortured.

Did Nala really do this?
“You okay?”I asked after taking him outside.

He nodded and smiled a little at me.
He sat inside the car we brought and I went back inside.

“Nala what has gotten over you?”Noah asked anxiously.

She was still holding the knife and smiling pathetically.

“You Noah! , You! , You made me this way , I fell in love with you in highschool , you chose that why*re over me , I made up the sham cheating scandal with Damien , I thought you would notice me but no!”she said and laughed sadly.

“It was obsession Nala”I said and she turned to look at me.

“Oh see who is here , Chris!”she said and Noah walked towards her.

“Stop it Noah , come back”I said and he shook his head.

“Anna then brought a child you two had together and boom I faked a pregnancy ,I was desperate , I also wanted you for my self. , I loved you”she said and Noah kept moving towards her.

“Put the knife down Nala”Noah said and she scoffed.

Just then we heard the cops siren and she frightened.

“You bastard”she and pointed at me.
I grinned , she wanted to go upstairs but Noah caught her.

Due to the process Noah’s arm got a cut.
He winced lightly.

“Drop all weapons”we heard a cop say whiles one went behind Nala handcuffing her.

“What the h*ll is this , why am I been arrested?”she screamed and they collected the knife from her.

“Miss Nala Roberts , you are been arrested for attempted murder”the cop said dragging her away.

“Let’s go , your wound is deep”I said and Noah nodded.

Together with Damien we left the house.

The car was awkwardly silent.
Noah won’t stop glaring daggers at Damien.

“Hey guys why don’t we get a some burgers here”I said whiles driving and they looked at me.

“I adm about to die any moment from now”Noah hissed and Damien chuckled.

“What about me?”Damien said and I laughed.

“Look at how badly a woman beat you”Noah said and we all laughed.

“She hit me from behind”Damien said and I laughed.

I looked at Noah and at Damien.
Could they be best friends again?

I sighed and continued driving……
Noah’s POV.

Chris was dressing my injury when he finished with Damien’s own.

We will be going to see Nala this afternoon.
I got up when he was done and sighed.

“Thanks”I muttered and he nodded.
“Noah we need to talk”Damien said and I glared at him.

Okay! He thinks we saved him so he can talk to me or what?

He has forgotten he nearly killed my son!
He nearly broke me.

God! Unbelievable!!

I ignored him and made way outside.

Chris smiled a little whiles Damien sighed sadly.

“I get it! , I destroyed your lives , I am sorry Noah , I know all what I did is unbelievable , I mean we were best buddies”he said and I nodded.

Yeah! He made me think Anna was a whore!

I didn’t believe her all this while that she was innocent;all because of him.

How could he plan all this sham thing with Nala.

I sighed and smiled at him.
He nodded and I went out.

I need to see my son!
Mother and Father left a while ago.

I opened the door of the ward Diego was in and sighted Anna playing with him.

Carla and Blake were laughing at something on their phone.

I smiled at the position Mother and Son were in.

Anna was sitting on the bed with Diego and they were so engrossed in the game they were playing that they didn’t notice me.

I closed the door and all eyes darted to me.

“Daddy”a tiny voice squealed and I smiled at him.

Diego!

“Hey! , How have you been?”I asked and he smiled.

“Great!”he said and I kissed his hair.

“How is Damien?”blake asked and I sighed.
“He is good”I groaned and he nodded.

“And Nala?”Carla asked.

“She had been detained”I said and she sighed.

Yeah! No one thought she could do that and over all she is pregnant.

Damien said he would take the baby when it’s born from her.

“Okay! , We are going to talk to Theresa”Carla said and dragged Blake with him out of the ward.

“Daddy what happened to your arm”Diego asked and I smiled.

“I cut my arm a little when I fell down”i said and nodded.

“Sorry Daddy”he said and I nodded.
Now Diego says his sorry perfectly.

Anna’s POV.

I watched him as he talked with Diego!
It was hard ignoring him but I can’t let him get me easily this time.

I went out of the room and bumped into someone.

Anna! I mentally scolded myself.

I looked up and it was Damien.
The same person who has been my friend for years had changed over night.

I don’t blame him.
I smiled and he smiled a little.
“Thanks for saving him”I said and he frowned.

“I should be thanking you”he said and hugged me.

It took me by surprise but I hugged him back.

It wasn’t his fault.
He was manipulated.

We disengaged from the hug and I nodded.

“Can we still be friends?”he asked again and I nodded.

“Thanks!”he groaned.
“It’s okay Damien”I said.

“Where is Blake?”he asked.

“He went to his office with Carla”I said and he smiled leaving.

I met Theresa on the way and she frowned at me.

“You left him alone in the room”she said and I shook my head.
“He is there with his father”I said and she smiled.

“I am leaving my shift is over , see you tomorrow”she said pecked my cheeks and left.

A hand snaked around my waist from behind and I gasped.

I turned to see Noah and I grunted angrily.

I tried removing his hand but he held me tight.
Aaaarggghhhh!

I hate it that am getting butterflies in my tommy.

“Let go me”I said angrily and felt him smirk against my neck.

“Am sorry for everything”he said lowly and i nearly scoffed.

Sorry! Huh?
“Noah let me go you left Diego alone in the room”I said and he chuckled.

“He slept after taking his medicines”he said and I felt relieved.

Can’t afford to loose him.
He turned me to face him with his hands still on my waist and I groaned.

He smiled at me and I scoffed.
“I need to leave , someone can see us”I mumbled and he frowned.

“Answer me before I let you go , have you forgiven me?”he asked and I pouted.

“You didn’t believe me , you called me a wh*re , so if Damien didn’t clear things you still wouldn’t have believed me”I said pouting and he sighed.

He smiled a little at me and I swat his chests.

“Am sorry”he mumbled and I nodded.
“I missed you”I said shyly and he chuckled.

I buried my face in his neck and sighed.
I missed him truly and I still love him , maybe more than I could ever imagine.

“I missed you to , so much Anna , all this years I never thought I would find you again , am happy that you came with my child , our son” he said still hugging me and I kissed him.

I clasped my lips on his devouring it like never before , he kissed me with the same pace.

He broke the kiss which left us breathless and I smiled.
“If you don’t stop I will take you right here”he muttered and I gasped.

“Pervert”I said and he chuckled.

“So Anna Hudgens will you be my girlfriend , will you be mine alone?”Noah asked and I gulped nervously.

I don’t think am ready.
I love him but I want to think things through first.

Or? No!
“Yes! , I would”I said smiling and he hugged me.

He suprised me with a kiss and I responded equally.

Some one cleared a throat behind us and we turned to see , Blake , Carla ,Chris ,Damien and Theresa smiling at us.

I thought Theresa was going home?
I buried my face in Noah’s chest shyly and they chuckled.

This is it my family , even though I lost my parents who disowned me.
I still have them.

A boyfriend who I know won’t let me down , a son I will forever cherish , a friend who has been by my side since like forever.

I smiled at them and Theresa chuckled.
“I think Anna and Noah want to make another baby this afternoon”Damien joked and the whole room was filled with laughter.

Noah and Damien hugged tightly and I smiled.
This is it , my family.

Carla’s POV.

I watched as Anna and Diego chased Noah around in Noah’s house.

Well Anna and Diego moved in this eveninh with him.

I am still in the apartment and hopefully I will be moving in with Blake soon.

Blake was in the Balcony with Damien.
I was making some pancakes in the kitchen.

The land line rang and they were all not ready to pick up.

I picked it up after exiting the kitchen.

☎️”Hello?”I said and sighed.

☎️”I would like to speak with Mr. Noah Stewart please”the caller said and I groaned.

☎️”Tell me he is busy”I said.

☎️”What?”I yelled attracting all the eyes in my room when the caller told me what happened.

☎️”Thanks”I said and dropped the phone.
God! Nala!

I can’t believe this!

“What happened?”Noah asked anxiously.

“Nala stabbed herself , she is dead”I sais and they frowned.
“What?”Anna yelled.

Damien shook his head and sighed.
“She died with the baby?”Damien asked and I nodded.

He sighed and smiled.
I looked at them and they were all sad.

I sighed and smiled too.
“Pancakes are ready”I said trying to lighten the mood and they chuckled.

“I want strawberry syrup”Diego squealed and I nodded.
