EPISODE 16

I was down in the dumps when Victory's teacher broke the sad news to me.

Hot tears were whipping down my face like rain.

Victory's teacher tried to show me the video in her phone.

At first,I refused to watch it but later I decided to give a glance at it.

I watched how the abductors were butchering those children one after another on an iron table but I did not see Victory.

"Where is my child?, I didn't see her in this video" I asked the teacher whose face was grim.

"I didn't espy her also" the teacher replied.

I kept mute and continued watching. The masked Kidnappers started by béheading the kidnapped children and then cut their bodies into pieces.

They later started hitting the slaughtered bodies of those children continuously in a mortar.

After they finished, a masked lady dished out the pounded bodies of those children to the eleven kidnappers –they were eleven in number.

They ate it with three wraps of fufu each and they used their brains and private parts as meat.

I felt like tossing my cookies while watching this video.

"Humans are indeed evíl" I uttered crying my eyes out.
"Where did they keep my child,they would have recorded her also. At least let me see her for the last time"

The teacher instantly hugged me and left.

I sat down on the floor with my limbs spread out. "How will the parents of these children feel while watching this?" I said in a tone that sounded sad.

"These children have suffered,life was utterly unfair to them". I added.

I hush down and I stayed under the scorching sun drained for the whole day. I had no food but I wasn't famished.

The sun heated me and my body changed its color. My clothes were hot as though they were ironed.

I waited so long for my friend Edith but she didn't show up early. I was lonely like a stone in the bottom of a lake.

Arteries showed up on my countenance as though it was sign of pain and suffering which I have gone through.

In the evening, Edith came with a small cooler with white rice and stew inside it. The aroma I perceived was mouthwatering.

Initially,I did not want to eat but perceiving that aroma made be appetitive.

I ate a large quantity before I was satisfied.

My friend spent a night with me and she told me amazing and humorous stories. It was interesting and I enjoyed listening to her stories.

I had no nightmare this time and I slept like a baby though my heart was troubled.

The next day, when Edith had gone home, a flashy car came to the house and I was stunned when I saw it.

Lo and behold, victory ran out of the car and I was at fool's paradisee when I hugged her passionately
. My heart sank inside my belly "Victory is this you?" I asked with tears dripping down my visage.

Forthwith,a man came out of the car and unfortunately,it was Ben.

My eyes were buried in my hands forming a couple of streams which flowed uncontrollably.
