Pulling away and placing his hand to his forehead,Mwewa shouted,"that's what am talking about Majo!We have enemies trying to break us.Who called you?"

"Mwewa," Marjory dodged his question and made a a very solemn face."The person who told me about this can never lie to me have known him since I was a teenager.You took the car from Collins and came in with your girlfriend last night !"

Mwewa gasped."oh!..." He snapped his fingers."That good for nothing fo.ol!I knew it!"

Mwewa made some slow paces around before he sank himself in a sofa."So this was his plan?...Honey Collins lied to you okay?"

"Mwewa!"

"I mean...yes..I took father's car from Collins and I just discovered this morning that I had unknowingly driven the car with this drunk girl Collins had carried in the car before I got in it.I..I didn't notice the drunk girl was in the backseats until this morning when I woke up and found her yawning in the backseats.But then I got your call that you wanted to come into the yard.I got scared I didn't want you to see this girl so you could think otherwise.That's why I warned her to remain in the car!Okay? She's still in the car,in the garage!"

Marjory sighed in anger and stormed out of the living room, going outside."Come and open the garage!"

"Honey,please relax!"

"Come and open it at once!"

Mwewa rushed outside and held his wife."Look, don't make any scene over nothing.This girl...this girl...I know you have seen her before...but I swear upon our unborn children I no longer have anything to do with her!"

"Don't swear!" Marjory shouted without thinking.She said so yes ,after all she was pregnant probably for him.But mwewa had sworn upon their unborn children without the knowledge that his wife was now pregnant.

"Open this garage!"

"Okay!" Mwewa said."Okay! I will definitely open it.But I don't want any trouble please!We are just going to talk...please don't do anything..."

Mwewa rolled up the doors to the garage as Marjory waited with her hands placed to her hips.Mwewa later opened the door to Mr Binwell Tembo's car and got Mwaka out!

Marjory opened her mouth but couldn't speak!She remembered Mwaka.

"Ba maid?" Marjory scoffed."I knew there was something going on between you and this wh.or.e the first time I saw her!So she's been the one all along!"

"Honey relax!"

Marjory tried to attack Mwaka but Mwewa was quick enough to hold grip of her."Get out!" Mwewa shouted at Mwaka."Get out of here!"

But Mwaka didn't feel scared away.She slowly got a bit closer while Mwewa struggled to tighten grip of Marjory as she had been trying to pull out.

"I said go away!" Mwewa yelled.

"No!" Answered Mwaka."I won't leave here without leaving a clear picture of me!"

"My wife will hurt you!" Warned Mwewa.

"It would be even better if she k.il.l me!" Shouted Mwaka."But I just want her to know the truth about you and I!She called me a Maid and a wh.or.e which I'm not.I need to clear her mind.But first I want to tell her that I no longer have anything to do with you!I came in here by mistake.I don't know how I got here but all I can remember is that I was at The Junction with my boyfriend Collins and I got very drunk....next I just woke up in this car and found Mwewa shouting at me and asking confusing questions on how I got here!....Please let me call Collins he should be the best person to know what really happened..."

"Yes!Call him!Call Collins." Agreed Mwewa.

Mwaka hurried back to the car and tried to search for her phone.It was not there.Collins had apparently kept it for her since last night."I can't find my phone!"

"Majo please call Collins he must retract whatever lie he told you about last night!"

Mwewa was able to calm Marjory.She finally called Collins.They all waited for Collins silently outside the house.Minutes later there was a bang on the gate.Mwewa rushed there with rage but it was Kupa who had just reported for work.

When Collins came,Mwewa grabbed him by his colors again."What did you tell my wife?"

"Sir,please take it easy!" Kupa rushed in to separate the two.

"What did you tell her?" Repeated Mwewa.

"Yes I lied last night!" Said Collins."You embarrassed me!I have worked for Mr Binwell Tembo for 15 years and he has never insulted me in public for a single mistake!I know I was not supposed to use one of the most respected men's car in this town to go to the bar and have some fun.But you got me angry by the way you acted in front of my peers.I know am a common driver but you couldn't insult me for that.That's why I...I called Madam and lied against you.I told her that you had taken home your girlfriend."

"Collins are you scared of him?" Asked Marjory.

"No,Madam." Said Collins calmly."Am truly sorry forgive me for the inconvenience and misunderstanding this has caused.It's actually true that I lied.Mwaka here is now my girlfriend and I personally put her in the backseats of the car last night when she blacked out. I could see that your husband was going to drive her home with him blank minded since he too was drunk.Am very sorry,Madam."

Mwaka added," believe what he has told you.If there's anything more you need to know about me and your husband,it's the time I used to date him.Its true I dated him and at first I didn't know he was married because he lied that he wasn't.But now I have long realized that he was only using me and the truth is that he can never marry me as I ever dreamed.Because...he loves you.He plainly told me that he loves you and he could never marry me.

So please... understand....am just trying to get myself a life forward with Collins so I can easily forget about your husband.He brought me nothing but misfortune along the way as I tried to get him from you.I don't want to go down that road again.I lost my child while in that road.....I swear ....I will never come any c, kindly join via ose to your husband.Believe that or not." Said Mwaka and she sounded like she could break down in tears.She walked out of the yard.

Collins followed her outside the compound.He wanted to apologize for having set her up with her ex boyfriend.

Mwewa walked slowly to his wife and went down? his knees again."Honey....." He started but it was really hard to say.He said it anyway," I have already learnt my lesson.I will never cheat again.Not after what has terribly and contineously happened to us because I went out of our way.Please forgive me....am sorry."

Marjory left without a word.He stood up and followed her inside and found her in the rest room of the house rubbing a tear." You carelessly and comfortably went out for another woman because you take advantage of the love I have for you,right?"

"Honey,no!" Said Mwewa."I respect you.I can never take advantage of the love you have for me.I promise to love only you and never to look sideways for another misfortune.Please forgive me."

"I will forgive you on one condition." Said Marjory.

"Whatever you ask my love.."

"Accept this child..." She said with her hand placed over her belly as she sat in a test chair.

"Child?Which child?"

Marjory turned her head up and said,"I'm almost three weeks pregnant."

"Pregnant?!" Mwewa almost screamed.

Immediately Daniel came to his mind.This could either be his child or Daniel's according to his thoughts.

He remembered the last time he made out with his wife was the night before the day she brought him lunch at work.Some weeks ago.And Daniel supposedly slept with her that Same day he took her and drugged her.

Who is the father?Mwewa asked himself inside of him.But as things were now,there was no need to worsen the situation by acting up.So Mwewa vowed inwardly that he was going to find a way to terminate the pregnancy to be sure all his future children would be of no mixed genes but his alone.

So he pretended,"really!You are pregnant!Am gonna be a father!Oh yes I accept!"

Marjory was surprised.She had thought this was never going to be easy at all!So Selina had once again advised well.

Mwewa hugged her."I can't wait for the bump to form." He faked a smile.I will get this tod out of this tummy!He screamed inside of him.

But Mwewa did not k.i.ll the tod.Just a few days after his reconciliation with Marjory.They were going to attend a court session for Daniel and his criminal friends' trials.They both had to testify against Daniel and the west kids as the victimized couple.

But there wasn't much to say as Daniel finally confessed and told exactly what had happened and why he had done what he did.It turned out he had been obsessed with Marjory since the day he lost a tooth for her.But then he had realized that he could never get Marjory thus he vowed to do anything to hurt her marriage or damage it completely.Unfortunately it hadn't gotten him anywhere apart from this magistrate court where he was eventually slapped with a hard labour of 18 years in prison!

".....I want to serve my sentence a free man from all the lies I made....I never had s*x with Marjory at any point in life though I almost had it while she was drugged in my house....." Daniel had confessed.

That subsided the pains of doubt over the pregnancy in Mwewa's heart.

About a year on,Mwewa and Marjory were attending Mr Binwell Tembo's memorial service.Today had marked a year since the old man was put to rest by colon cancer.

The couple displayed their floral gifts down the tomb stone wearing all black.

"Father," Mwewa said."I still promise to make you proud even in this grave.Your Hospital project is underway and going on very well.My beloved wife and I just want to let you know that your dream is gradually coming to life and we won't disappoint you.....and hey... don't worry about Majo....I am her new father now and i will give her the same fatherly love she ever got from you.... that's a promise..so continue resting in peace...love you father."

Marjory too paid her respects and they eventually walked out of the grave yard.

Mwewa knew this memorial would emotionally affect his wife for the day.So he decided to take her out to find whatever they needed to buy for their one month old bouncing baby boy,young Binwell Mulusa,just to carry her mind away.

They both played a while with the baby by kissing and pinching its nose as it gave gracious laughters in the baby carrier of the car.They had left it here in the parking area with their maid_ an older woman.

"He looks exactly like you!" Commented the woman or the maid.

"I know right..." Replied Mwewa with a genuine wide smile.Marjory looked at him and smiled along.

She then pulled him away smilingly before they left for town,to the baby store,and whispered in his ears teasingly,"let's go for a DNA test."

"The DNA is already in his face!The boy is Mulusa's blood!"
