Is it right for a girl to insist on getting married
without even dating a guy first? Cos these
days, a lot of girls are fond of saying they want
a serious guy (One who is ready for marriage
asap) anytime they are approached for a
relationship by a guy. Some of them now claim they don't do boyfriend stuff anymore.
Imagine? What do they mean by that. One
can't just jump into marriage without dating
and getting to know the person first. Its just
like eating a meal without tasting if there is salt
or enough ingredient in it. And approaching any girl to make her your girlfriend, is not a child's
play either. So, how can a girl insist on getting
married without dating? These days, it takes a
lot to date any naija girl. Especially under this
Buhari' govt, wey the economy dey harsh. So,
a girl need to understand that dating and getting married is a gradual process that
requires planning. Its not something to jump
into. Cos the size of a guy's pocket determine
the direction of the relationship.

Ladies Jumping into marriage without dating or courting most times lead to broken home, for those above me @victoriouschild @froshberry-2 gone are dose days as u said is d past wen dey dnt knw wats called dating and 60% if nt 70% mariages den are arranged marriage so dere is no room for dating but in dis our modern world date you spouse first to knw if he/she is worth puttin at home you get to knw abt you spouse more by dating so dating is best thing to do before marriage

Hmmmmmmm... Dating is not even biblical, courtship is the right thing to do before marriage. At least during the courtship you get to know each other better and is not the time to waste but to take serious. During courtship you have to plan ahead how your marriage is going to look like, how many children you want to have etc.. But is always good to marry your best friend.. I think the reason why ladies don't like idea of boyfriend of a thing is because there's time for everything, you can't expect a girl of 20yrs old looking for boyfriend to date, never. She will rather be looking for someone to engage her and started courtship which we lead to marriage not relationship that will wasted her time and at the end of everything nothing good will still come out of it.. Whether u date or not is not a criterion dt d marriage will work.I hav seen ppl who dated for 7yrs and above before getting married, yet broke up after 2 to 3yrs of marriage. In fact, one of my friends dated her husband for over 2yrs and to my gr8est surprise, she lasted only 10weeks in her husband's house. Now my question is, dd they not prepare for the worst within ds two yrs of dating? If u look at it from dt angle, then it's of no use dating. Just get a girl u like and marry her.

But then, is marrying a total stranger d best? I will stl tell u no.I was speaking wt my mentor 3days ago and he shocked wt wht he said. According to him, no marriage is wtout fault. He got married to his coursemate back then and they kinda ddn't date before marriage. So in conclusion, he told me dt marriage is best, when u court from childhood, dt in dt atmosphere, u get to knw d person very well from their background. He is saying ds maybe bcos marriage wtout courtship does not favour him. But I hav a neoghbour who never dated her husband, in fact, d guy jst saw her on d way and asked her whr she lived, from then henceforth, d guy started going to their house to convince her to marry him. Once she accept, they got married. And now she's one of d happiest married women. There ar other cases whr d couple dated and ar comfortable, at least two of my friends ar enjoying d fruit of their labour of 7yrs and 6yrs of dating, respectively. None is stamped wt "sure success" or "sure failure"

All I'm saying is, attitude is what keeps or breaks a home. When then BibleUI talks abt love and submission on d side of men and women respectively, we think it's a matter of date, marry, giv birth and when he talks one, u talk ten and even jump on his head and shout him down. Some women keep breaking family laws, intetionally. Some cheat on their husbands and ask him wht he will do, how do u expect such a man to love u? Men on d other hand beat up their body, abuse her in any way possible, refuse to giv her money for upkeep and eat out, 6yinsult her and her family, cheat on her, ignore her emotional needs and threaten her wt a divorce. How do u expect her to submit to u? Ppl don't knw dt submission is an act of love. It's very simple but very hard. Whether u dated or not, make up ur mind dt u ar getting married and it's a different thing from dating and being unmarried. Learn who u ar married to and cultivate love for dt person. I think I hav to stop here. Thank you.
