Google has announced a collation of the most searched topics by Nigerians on the Google Search platform for the year 2017 giving us an insight into the most popular and trending topics for Nigerians in 2017.

Google’s 2017 Year Search List includes the most searched movies, music, popular personalities, places and much more.

According to the Google Search report, Moji Olaiya is the most searched person in Google’s year end search compilation. As we can recall, the sudden news of  her death two months just after giving birth sent shock waves all around the Nigerian movie industry and the Nigerian people as a whole. Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike – popularly known as Evans, the notorious kidnapper who was nabbed by Nigerian police force came second on the most searched list. Adesua Etomi came third on the list, obviously due to her well publicized and Crème de la Crème wedding with Banky Wellington.

This list also includes the top most searched “What is” questions. Top queries in this category include searches about Bitcoin, MMM, Monkeypox and much more.
