Mighty God, who has promised that you will grant us wisdom if we but ask; we are beset by pride, by ego, by our unremitting vigilance of our image. When others slight us or give us less deference that we think is our right, we become upset. We find insult even in unintentional remarks. We are easily bruised, and at other times, we feel embarrassed or humiliated at the most trifling discourtesy or even when someone does not pay attention to us. We walk through the world as if we are its center and all should take notice of us; and when it does not, we are hurt and angry. Heal us, our God. We ask for wisdom of true humility, through the monumental power of your Holy Spirit. Bring us to a place where our ego is utterly secure in our knowledge and love of you, when we truly satisfied that all glory is yours and we may lead our life on earth in security and humble service. Through Christ we pray, Amen. UTUTU OMA. THANK YOU JESUS!
