Recall Opera Max VPN that was launched 2016 but was later removed from Google Playstore after Opera stopped supporting it? Well newd out there is the app has been reintroduced with a different name, branded under Samsung with the name Samsung Max.

Opera Max VPN was loved and used by many as it recorded over a million downloads. This was due to the fact that the app was legal and helped a lot of users save data and of course protect their privacy.

Unfortunately, the VPN was discontinued abruptly. Believe me, no one saw it coming, I inclusive. Like I said above, it was due to the fact that its developer, Opera decided to stop  supporting it because it “had a substantially different value proposition than our browser products, and represented a different focus for Opera.”, excerpts from their report concerning why they stopped it.

Well good thing it is back now as Samsung Max with new a fresh design, new look, awesome navigation system and is fast and easy to use.

However, it is imperative to note that the new Samsung Max is not available for everyone as it was released for specific countries.

Also, Samsung Max is exclusively for Samsung phones and Samsung Mobile reiterated this fact as they revealed that Samsung Max is offered “as an exclusive and unique service that sets Samsung devices apart from the rest of the smartphone market.”

So if you try to play Mr. Smart by trying to install the app on other devices such as Tecno, Infinix, iTel etc, you will get an error message - “your device is not supported for this version”.

Regarding this, Samsung users who already have the Opera Max app installed on their phone can simply update theirs by downloading the new Samsung Max.

Samsung also revealed that the Samsung Max VPN will be preloaded on all Galaxy A and Galaxy J series smartphones in specific countries which are India, Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam.

However, users operating Samsung devices apart from the Galaxy devices listed above can head over to download theirs via Google Playstore or Galaxy Apps stores.
