[b] Years ago in Iviukhua (a village in Edo state) there live a girl called Ilamosi who the entire people in Iviukhua said she was the prettiest among all the maidens in the village and that got into her head that she became rude and arrogant to everybody in Iviukhua despite that boys, men, chiefs and even the Okumagbe (king) were all seeking for her hand in marriage just because of that but she turned all of them down because she wasn't ready to get married and she was also enjoying the attention she was getting from them.

Ilamosi lacks manner and she can insult any male including the Okumagbe anyhow she likes just because they asked for her hand in marriage but her mum had told her countless times that her attitude was going to bring her nothing but trouble or even make her to loose lot of things in life but she didn't listen to her mum because she believe that she is beautiful and men will still want to make her their wife even if she has no character at all.

One fateful afternoon, Ilamosi was coming back from her friend's (Omoh who was named Omohmoh because she has a twin though her Ojor had died) house when she met an old woman she hasn't seen in Iviukhua before carrying loads that were too heavy for her.

Any lady that has a good home bringing would have helped the woman with her loads but Ilamosi didn't.

The old woman even called Ilamosi to help her carry her loads because she was very tired but Ilamosi refused. The woman went down on her knees begging her but instead of her to be move by that, she only got angry and collected the loads from the old woman's head and threw them on the ground and that didn't satisfy her so she decided to beat the woman to her satisfaction for asking her to carry her loads for her in the first place. Ilamosi left the woman crying on the ground but if only she knew the consequences of her actions, she would have begged the woman for forgiveness.

After that incident, guys in Iviukhua village start avoiding Ilamosi like a plague.

Three months have passed and still yet all the guys were still avoiding her and that got her really worried so she begged her friend Omohmoh to help her to find our what went wrong.

Omoh met with Shaka who was also a guy that has been asking Ilamosi's hand in marriage and asked him why he has been avoiding Ilamosi lately and he told her that "Whenever he comes close to Ilamosi, he always perceive the excrete of hens on her body" but Omoh thought he was lying so she decided to ask other guys. She asked ten other guys and they all told her same thing.

Omoh went to Ilamosi's house but when she got there, she met her in the kitchen with her mum. Omoh told her what the eleven guys had told her but Ilamosi's mum said all were lies because she can't perceive any smell and as luck was on their side, Odoji who is Ilamosi's older brother who stays in another village arrive and when Ilamosi hugged him, he asked her why she is smelling of hen excrete and that made their mum to believe what Omoh had told her so she decided to find out what had happened.

During that time there was nothing like Christianity so Ilamosi's mum took Ilamosi to the best herbalist man in Edo state.

When they got to the herbalist's place, the man told them that the gods cursed Ilamosi after she beat. up an old woman, the woman started crying, and the gods heard her cries that's why they decided to punish Ilamosi for her actions.

Ilamosi's mum asked the man what they could do to appease the gods and he told them that they will only be able to appease the gods if they can find the old woman and ask for her forgiveness. He even helped them by giving them a lead to where the woman may be. They thanked him and went home to start their search.

It took them one month to find where exactly the woman lives and when they got there, they were told that the woman just died yesterday night and has already been buried.

On hearing that, Ilamosi's mum took her daughter back to the herbalist's place and told him that the woman is already dead. She asked the woman if any other thing can be done to appease the gods but he said no and ask them to leave his shrine.

When hey got home, Ilamosi's to her daughter to enjoy the rest of her life as a single Lady because she has tried for her and she even warned her about her bad character but she didn't listen to her

Ilamosi died a single lady because no guy in Iviukhua was willing to marry her when she is smelling of hen excrete.
