Hey everybody, hope you all alright.
So I was going through some of the poems on the website when I realized that I didn't get to post part 2 of the Africa we want as I had promised. So if you have forgotten the phrasing in part one, just scroll down and you will see the post, so you can feel me😊
So here we go!
Think of Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Nelson Mandela and Kenneth Kaunda,
Who among many others were persecuted and sent behind bars by the colonial Masters,
When they rose to fight for African freedom.
These African freedom fighters put their lives before firing squads,
Because they wanted a great Africa,
An Africa free from slavery and oppression.
But after fifty years plus of Independence,
We the sons and daughters of Africa still cry for that Africa,
Where we shall walk with our heads held high,
#ENDSARS peaceful protest in Nigeria a year back and the Innocent lives that were lost shall go down in history as an example of modern day tyranny,
Where leaders cares nothing about the lives of their people.
We peacefully cry for an Africa where we shall not be gunned down in the streets like animals for protesting peacefully,
Our lives protected,
Where love shall be a guiding principle in everyday endeavors.
We want an Africa where our voices
Will be heard by those we vote into power,
Where our rights will be respected and protected,
Equal opportunities for all created and free from discrimination in the distribution of national resources.
A corrupt free Africa we want
Where dreams come true based on merit and not the cash one has
Where we shall shout
' Africa the beauty of the world!'

Oya, you can also add in your own words in the comment section on the type of Africa you want.
The power to reshape the world lies in the hands of the youth. IF ONLY WE KNEW...✌️
