Usually, when christians hear the parables of the 10 virgins, the five foolish ones are derided and snarled at. But alas, how many foolish virgins still we have today!
Read the story yourself in the gospel according to saint matthew, chapter 25 from verse 1 to 13.
They are all virgins . The 10 are born again christians. All of them (the 10) have confessed their sins and have all vowed never, till jesus comes, to have anything to do with sin again. They got sanctified and received the holy spirit baptism. And these 10 started waiting for the coming of the lord. They all waited ; none went anywhere. No one among them went into any cinema house. They did not drink beer; they did not go to the harlot. None of them married two wives.
They were waiting for the coming of the master; they did not sleep! They did not backslide. They came to church everyday. But behold, the foolish did not prepare for a long wait. They took only enough oil for a period they assumed the master would tarry. Only this will be enough, they say; the master will soon come so there was no need to take extra oil. They neglected to prepare enough. The restriction that was necessary was neglected: the stolen book, the abortion committed, the lies told and all the "petty" unrighteousness. All these were neglected. They say "The lord's grace is enough for me."
You may be a pastor today and many people respect you. But you know in your heart how many sisters you've lusted after and defiled. Whoever hideth his sin shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Prov.28:13)
One is scared and afraid. Too many so-called christians may eventually not enter with the bride-groom. It'll be too late to run around when jesus comes. THE FOOLISH VIRGINS WILL DO THAT.
The trumpet shall sound and in a twinkle of an eye all the virgins that are read will be caught up. (Matt.25:29-31, 1thess.4:16-18) then will the careless slothful ones begin to pray and cry. They will recount all they have endured for the name of the lord. They will remind the Lord how that they have for many years been going to church. But the lord answer " I know you not," (matt.25:12; Luke 13:25-28)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap. (Gal.6:7)
It is very possible for born-again christians to still go to hell. Those five foolish virgins represented born again sanctified christians. They still went to hell (in the outer darkness).
Bewarned, Jesus will not send an errand when he is about to come. No despatch-riders (or outriders) will race to blow sirens. No! It'll be sudden. But it has not happened now. If you don't get up and strengthen your weak knees however it may happen tomorrow and you start to say, O! I read it in coolval22.com yesterday and I did not do anything yet.
