Tecno Mobile has decided to join the train of smartphones with notched display as it launches it’s very first device to showcase the feature in the Indian market. As a matter of fact, three smartphones were released altogether with the spectacular feature. They are the Camon iAir 2, Camon i2 and the Camon i2X.

Tecno Camon i2X sits at the top of the three spec-wise, sporting a 6.2-inch super view display with a slight touch of a notch at the front. Let’s find out more.

Design and Display
The Camon i2X is designed with a polycarbonate plastic material on the outside, making it very lightweight and easy to handle. The dual rear cameras are located at the top left corner, with the fingerprint scanner sitting at the usual position. In thickness, it measures 8.5mm in thickness.



In the display front, it boasts of a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels. It has an 80.16% screen-to-body ratio and supports a 19:9 aspect ratio screen on top.

Hardware and Software
In the hardware section, it is powered by a MediaTek M6762 (Helio P22) chipset running on octa-core processor built on the 12nm FinFET node technology. Graphics is handled by an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 650MHz, supported by an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU speeding its way up to 2.0GHz.

In multitasking and optimization, it sports a 4GB RAM of space as well as a 32GB internal storage upgradeable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Tecno i2X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo supported by HiOS 4.1 from Tecno.

Camera
Tecno i2X scored a big one, sporting a dual rear camera setup of 13MP + 5MP shooter which is impressive on a budget smartphone. It supports Portrait Mode and Bokeh Effect and also has a quad LED flash. The front camera is no fluke, showcasing a grand 16MP selfie camera which has AI Beauty Mode, supports Face ID and dedicated flash.
