*****Episode 4*****
"Macrex," he called my name in a whisper. I heard but pretended i did not. He called again , this time his whisper was louder, yet i ignored him. Then when he called the third time, the teacher heard him and called him to answer the question.
Rapido rose in his usual confidence. He was like that. Whenever he was called upon to answer a question which he obviously did not know, he would rise with confidence as if he knew the answer. Then, he would pause and look around as if he was thinking of the answer. He would look at me with pleading eyes and i will help him out by scribbling down the answer on a paper. He would read out the answer as if he knew it. That somewhat marched the confidence he usually exuded. Now, again, things have changed.
I was watching him as he held his head high, then, he looked around and his eyes fell on me as i sat close by. I saw that he was lost.
I pick up a pen and paper and wrote it "YOU"
He grimaced. The class was waiting for him. I surreptitiously pointed at him, repeatedly pushing my finger at him to drive home my message. He got it and he looked up again.
"ME" he said.
The teacher was shocked at his answer. The answer is you? That interesting. So you depend on others for your support and nutrient"
Rapido did not get the jibe in the teacher's words, similing, he nodded.
The class burst into laugther. I laughed too. I saw him looking at me with a grimace. The teacher called on another student to and she answered the questing.
"parasite" the girl said.
The teacher asked us to clap for the girl.
"so Rapido, you have confirmed to this class that you are a parasite," the teacher said and more laugther followed. Though Rapido had been angry with me for making him look idiotic, he however did not hold his anger for long. But surely, i was not done with him yet.....
So, that day after the English paper and he had said that the paper was easy, i quickly knew what that he was at his vain self again.
"Are you sure it was eassy?" i asked
He nodded of course, i wrote it with ease". He said
And you are sure that you will not get an F9 this time?" i asked,
He obviously did not like my question but he made efforts to conceal his annoyance. "of coure i will get an A" he said.
I only laughed, he made it sound like he would just take three steps in his stride and pick up the A from the ground. "when results comes,we shall all see" i said.
