Odd news from the United States of America have it that a female student has lost her studentship after sharing a controversial picture on a social media platform that went viral.
A Kansas State University student was expelled after a Snapchat photo showing her and a friend in black facial mask went viral.
The photo shows Paige Shoemaker and her friend, Sadie Meier, posing together in the facial mask with the caption, "Feels good to be finally be a nigga."
The post was initially published by Shoemaker on her Twitter page but has since been deleted, according to KSNT. The post on her social media page which has caused public outcry can be seen below:

Kansas State officials responded to the post, condemning Shoemaker and Meier's for the post:
"Kansas State University was tagged today in social media posts that were racist in nature,"
"The posts were immediately removed from university accounts. Kansas State University does not condone this inappropriate behavior and expects the K-State family to adhere to our principles of community."
After being expelled, Shoemaker posted a public apology on her Facebook page. She said, "we never intended for the picture to offend anyone. We had only meant for it to be taken in a funny way.”
