Episode 1 Granite Cliffs, Neighbour of Sennen Cove, 21 December 2009 * * It was during one of those stormy nights while she was out here all by herself. It was raining, she was soaking wet and shivering from the cold. That's because the wind almost blew her off her feet. But she was also filled with fear, her heart almost exploded in her body, so fast she was running. Perhaps she would get a heart attack if she wouldn't slow down soon. But she kept running. One step after another. She had lived here her entire life and knew about the two murders that took place in the neighbour. But they happened during spring and those girls were foolish. She wasn't foolish, she was intelligent. A bright future ahead with a scholarship in one of London's most prestigious universities. She could see the lights of Sennen Cove ahead of her, the place where she grew up. She thought about her parents, her little sister and baby brother. This wasn't how it supposed to end for her. A strength deep inside of her fought the thoughts of surrender. She had to continue. Even though she almost couldn't breathe anymore, she would never give up. She knew better than to scream, the storm was so loud that nobody could hear her. She was looking over her shoulder and couldn't see anyone. It was because of the deep night. She knew where to walk without stumbling because she was familiar in this neighbourhood. But she could see a flashlight from a distance. She grabbed her cell phone while still running. She saw she could finally make a phone call. But then her mobile slipped out of her hands. She also stopped running. The little light that the moon reflected from the sun made her aware of her position. She was in the neighbour of a shipwreck. In other words, a place to hide. Wendy walked towards the rocks to hide. From a distance she saw that the flashlight was coming closer and closer. She also grabbed a rock in case she would be found. She wasn't going to give up without a little fight. Two weeks ago she got into contact with a boy that was from a few villages away. They met during a festival at the beach he said. The two of them chatted a lot and he wanted to meet her, again. But since she was raised by a mother that was overprotective and a father that was away most of the time, she knew she had to keep this secret. Eventually she had the nerves to sneak out of the house and meet her lover. When she came to the meeting place, he didn't show up. Instead a man with a mask and blade was standing just ten metres away... The man with the flashlight came closer and closer and eventually she had sight of him. It wasn't the killer. It couldn't be the stranger. This man was wearing a uniform it appeared. Wendy also didn't see any blade. It looked like he was just patrolling. Then she slipped downwards and felt into a small cove. The last thing she did was calling her dad. She breathed deeply while she saw a shadow appearing at her hiding spot. How could the freak have heard her? The last thing she heard was her father's voicemail as she blacked out...

Episode 2 In front of The Old Success In, Sennen Cove, 14 January 2010 * * * Robert McEachran was a 31-year old former attorney that grew up with his Mother in Stoke-On-Trent. He was 1.86 metres long and took great care of his physique. He went to sport school four times a week, most of the times to blow off steam. He also visited his mother every month who was still living in his birth place. He never knew his father and only recently discovered that his family has a secret. He might have a brother. He lived outside the city and outside a village. It was called Northend, south of the N40 highway. He has a view over a little lake and lives completely remote. Robert decided to start his own private investigation service in November under the alias Ronald Siersema. He chose a false name to prevent customers to hire him because of his good name as attorney. He wanted to start fresh. Now he received a mail from two desperate parents that wanted to hire him in order to solve the murder case about their nineteen year old daughter. Robert didn't know why they wanted to hire a private investigator without experience, but the father of the parents wrote that they chose someone without a big name and far from out of town to take a look at the case. Probably because the killer could be someone within the community. Robert accepted and left in the morning of 14 January, after doing some research about the area the last two days. He arrived six hours later in the small community at a guest house called The Old Success In. He parked his car at the parking space for the beach. He did this because the parking space of hotel was small and there was a chance he would be blocked by other cars. Robert drove an American Chevrolet pick-up truck, a car that wasn't very handy for such small roads. After parking the car, he walked towards Cove Hill, the main street. He took a look around him and enjoyed the beautiful view. A view that he never saw before. He grew up at a much different place. He went to the same school Stoke-On-Trent's most famous inhabitant went, Robbie Williams. He remembered the five year old singer a little. The wind blew gently through his short cut hair while the waves were less than halve a metre high. The sun shone a little through the clouds. The whole experience in such a new, such a beautiful area made him ask himself, "Why would someone kill at such a beautiful place?" Robert continued his way towards the Inn. A car drove in his direction from behind him and stopped next to him. It was an elder Mercedes 180D. The man pulled over and left his car. It was the town's Sherriff. 'Welcome to Sennen Cove mister. Do you like the view?', the man asked. The sheriff was in his fifties. He had grey hair and a moustache. He was 1.76 metres long and was a little out of shape. Wouldn't be city police material. 'It's a lovely day Sheriff.' 'What's your name tourist?', he asked with a deep sigh. 'Long day sheriff? Robert, by the way.' 'You could say that. Town is pretty much shaken up last weeks.' 'I see, think it has something to do with the murder?' 'Who said anything about a murder?', the sheriff asked a little harsh. Before Robert responded, the sheriff said: 'Those papers like to create saucy articles Robert. Shouldn't believe everything they say.' 'Well, I'm not here to believe sheriff.' 'So what are you here for. It's not like it's tourist season.' 'I like the quietness. I have to go now.' 'Be careful Robert. People might think your involved.' Robert didn't respond and walked inside the inn. The sheriff looked at him until he was out of sight. Then he walked towards Robert's vehicle and wrote the license plate on a piece of paper.

Episode 3: Granite Cliffs, South West Coast path, 14 January 2010 * * After Robert booked a room for three days and brought his suitcase and laptop towards his room, he went for a walk towards the crime scene. The body was found at Granite Cliffs which lay west of the south west coast path that went through Sennen Cove towards a beach spot called Land's End. The body was found three metres away from the path and stabbed multiple times. Robert also knew that her left heel was missing. When Robert was at the crime scene, he took a look around and noticed a shipwreck, the land's end in a further distance and the cliffs. But there wasn't much trees in this area. That meant that she wouldn't have been killed if there wasn't a storm. The risk to be noticed would be too high for the killer. So Robert made his first note. It had to be a person that knew about the weather reports. This particular person was good informed about when the storm would be rough enough to cover his actions. Robert noticed someone coming from Sennen Cove on a moped. It wasn't a tourist or a local. It was a woman in uniform. Perhaps a deputy. Robert was waiting when she arrived and stopped. She had curly dark brown hair and wore sunglasses. She was 1.70 metres long and slim. She was in shape. She probably looked a little older than she really was since she wore no make-up. A natural beauty Robert though. Maybe a few years older than him. 'You must be Robert McEachran I guess?', she asked with a smile. 'Is it that obvious?', Robert asked with a grin. 'Deputy Christina Carter', she said. 'And before you think you recognize the name, I'm not into porn.' she said afterwards. 'So, what brings you all the way to here deputy Carter?' 'Please, call me Christina. And my boss asked me to assist you. Looks like were partners hotshot.' she said with a grin. 'Oh, but what if I'm just a tourist that's here for...', he was interrupted. 'For quietness?', she said with a serious tone. 'I would say for pleasure', Robert said in also a serious tone. Both laughed a little. 'So what do you know by now?' 'We can't share all of the details, but it's very unlikely she was killed right here at this spot.' 'I noticed. From some pictures online it appears that she was dragged to this spot. Like the killer wanted the body to get found fast.' 'You did your homework.' 'I take my time for desk research. It makes field research much more productive.' 'We also confirmed that she was dragged to this place.' 'Can you show me where she was dragged from?' 'We don't know. There were no traces left behind to follow to a concrete spot. Sure there was a trail but after two metres it ended. What do you think so far Mr. big city?' 'Not much. Do you think that I could look into the police files?' 'The case is closed. If you get the sheriffs permission, you may. Normally it's a no go, but considering your background he can make an exception I think. You should come tomorrow in the morning to the department.' 'Why does such a small place have so much blue?', Robert asked curiously. 'We're also fire-fighter's and rescue in one.'

Episode 4 Penzance Police Station, Penzance, 14 January 2010 * * It was almost midnight when a dark shadow approached the front of the building. The person picked the lock and went inside. He didn't use alight and seemed to know the way. The person walked towards a closet and also picked that lock. It was raining while he took out the document about Wendy Chaplin. The person replaced the document with a different one and put everything back at its place. Within five minutes the person replaced the document and had left the building again. To be continued...

Episode 5 Granite Cliffs, Neighbour of Sennen Cove, 21 December 2009 Wayne and Marsha were staying at the Atlantic Cottage Holidays Hotel when they decided to take a walk to the cliffs. They were both 24 years old, she was 1.67 metres long and had blonde hair. She weighed 72 kilogram and was curvy. Wayne was balding already and wore glasses. He was an IT-expert and surfer. He was 1.76 metres long and weighed 85 kilogram. They met while both were on vacation in Hawaii. They reached the south west path when a huge wave broke against Sennen Cove's most known cliff. 'Did you see that?', Marsha said amazed. 'No, all I saw was you my love', he said while laughing. 'You promised not to lie to me', Marsha answered where after she kissed Wayne. They made out for a while until lighting hit ground far away. 'If this is what I get every time I lie, than you really try me to lie don't you?'Wayne said with a loud voice. 'Your sexy when you act like a though guy Waynie', she said while kissing his lips. Then they hugged each other tightly while they made out again. Wayne lifted her a little until he thought to have heard something from far away. Marsha looked afraid while Wayne tried to figure out what that noise was. 'You heard that love?', he asked calmly. 'It sounded like a scream or something...' she said. 'Can't be, who is out here now, at this particular time?' 'Well, we are?' 'Probably was a wave or something like that', he added. 'You know, this excites me. The two of us together out here during a storm.' 'Yeah, we have a different taste of romantic than others love.' 'Do you think that the locals are right? That some strange accidents occur here while it storms?' 'They did talk about a shipwreck. Shouldn't be too far from here. want to see?' Wayne asked. 'Like an adventure. Like when we were at that beautiful place where we met.' 'Let's go.' Wayne said and kissed her on her cheek before grabbing her hand. They walked further south while another huge wave broke against the riffs. In the neighbour of Sudden Cove there are more than one shipwrecks to find. It's the result of a huge storm that pushes the ships towards the cliffs. Nowadays there are at least three wrecks within a 10 mile radius. Wayne and Marsha were heading towards the shipwreck of the RMS Mulheim. But Marsha stumbled on her feet and fell. In the meantime, Wayne thought so see a shadow moving in the distance. 'Wayne!', Marsha yelled. 'Did you see that Marsha?', Wayne said distracted before it got to him that she fell. 'I just fell Wayne, don't you see?' 'Wow, I'm sorry. Something distracted me', Wayne said as he helped her getting up. 'Thank you, now what distracted you?', Marsha asked sighing deeply. 'Did you hurt yourself? ', Wayne asked while looking at the place where he saw the shadow. 'What is that over there Wayne?', Marsha asked pointing at strange shadow that was laying on the path ahead of them. Wayne walked towards the shadow while Marsha stopped a few metres earlier. 'Oh my god. Call 911, now!', Wayne said.

Episode 6 Sheriff's Department, Sennen Cove, 15 January 2010 * * The nearest police station is in a nearby town called Penzance. However, Sennen Cove has a so called Sheriff's Department since the first murder back in 1998. It began as what they called a higher security rate area. The last years the sheriff and his deputy merged with the coast guards. Christina drove this morning early on to the police station to get the files about the Chaplin murder case. She didn't think high of her boss, but she did know who Robert McEachran was. She was back at the department in Sennen Cove before it was nine o'clock. Too late... 'I see you've been sleeping a little longer this morning Deputy Carter?', Robert said gentle. 'I worked my ass off too be honest. I got the documents.' 'Great, than let's get to work.' 'You, you must get to work Robert. And if you find something, you know where to find me.' Robert and Christina go inside the department that is all empty at the moment. There is only one office for the sheriff, the rest is just one room filled with three desks and a kitchen with a toilet. Robert takes a look around and discovers that there's another door which is locked. 'That's only opened in the summer time private detective.' 'Do you think that my occupation is funny?' 'No, of course not. And don't get me wrong, I admire your work.', she said with a grin. 'But...?', Robert asked. 'I miss the moustache', she said before she began to laugh. 'Why, I hate the moustache.' 'Yeah, well, come over here Magnum, seat yourself and enjoy reading.' 'I always enjoy reading Christina. Makes me feel smart.' 'So you do know my name smart ass.' 'Don't you have places to go Deputy?', Robert teased. 'yeah, find out where my boss is at.' 'Good luck.' Robert said already opening the documents. Christina went into the sheriff's office while Robert continued reading in the files. The first thing he noticed was the smell of fresh ink on paper. Working at an attorney's office, he got used to the smell real quickly. The next thing that he discovered was the angle of the three meter long trail. It wasn't the direction Christina pointed out. It seemed to be 90 degrees more towards the north. The third thing he found out was the storyline of the report. Something missed, he didn't knew why he thought it, but the manner the story was written didn't sound the same in the third quarter of the documents. Like it was re-written in a different style. Something that happens when you write a story again after a few days you wrote it when the events were still fresh in your memory. After three hours Christina takes a seat in front of him and puts two cops of thee on the table. Robert looks at the cup of thee with frozen eyebrows. Then he looks one more time at the cover of the documents. 'Found something?', Christina asked curiously. 'Not really, have you looked into these?' 'Of course I did. Why?' 'Just asking...', Robert said while looking the other way.

Episode 7 The Old Success In, Sennen Cove, 15 January 2010 * * Robert was back in his apartment when he was eating lunch. He thought about the documents for a while. Why would anybody at the police station cover this homicide up? What was their intentions? Then again, he knew that small town folks didn't like people from the city sticking their noses into their mess. But what he also thought off, who can he trust? Christina seemed like a nice person and a strict professional. The sheriff looked like he could use an early pension. But Robert also knew that Wendy Chaplin hadn't been home for two days before she was found. Robert wrote a few notes about her parents, Wendy Chaplin probably felt like a prisoner at home. Robert was eating his sandwich while he opened his high tech laptop. He decided to have another look at his own documents about Wendy's case. "What happened during December 21st?" Then he found the article about a place called Atlantic Cottage Holidays. A blogger rumoured about the fact that Wendy was staying over at the hotel during the last two days of her life, just two miles away from home. Why hadn't anyone noticed? Robert decided to pay a visit to the hotel. But first he made a phone call while drinking away a diet coke. 'Robert, it's been a while, how do you do?', his former colleague asked. 'I'm doing fine, I'm working on this case and I could use your set of skills.' 'Well, still straight to the point aren't you', he answered slightly irritated. 'I need the original documents about a murder case in Sennen Cove', Robert asked. 'And I need a million dollars. Well, I see what I can do for yah.' 'Thank you for your time.

EPISODE 8 Penzance Police Station , Sennen Cove , 14 January 2010 The previous night he already entered the police station without anybody as witness . He switched the documents of a murder case . The Murder case about Wendy Chaplin . They thought no one would ever look into it from a high salary scale . And local enforcements didn ' t make a lot of work of it since it was probably unsolvable . No traces, no witnesses and no suspects . Nothing was found . So why bother trying ? Then this high profile former attorney showed up on their doorstep , he could be threat. He entered his car while it was still raining , what a shitty day the person must have thought . Yeah , it was a he that broke into the police station . At least that' s what the person looked like . Short hair , apparently no breasts , slim and wearing black clothes . He took his phone while he threw the documents at the passenger 's seat. He called someone . 'It 's done ', he said whispering. 'You need to keep an eye in the cove' , the other voice said. 'A target?' 'Mission . Do whatever it takes to get this thing going out of proportion . ' He hung up and drove away . Sennen Cove , Such a small place , Such a horrible mystery.

Episode 9 Sheriff 's Department, Sennen Cove , 27 December 2009 'Listen up folks , the case is closed , we 're off the hook ', the Sheriff opened the morning. 'You can' t possibly mean we 're going to drop this ', Christina asked surprised . Wendy Chaplin 's body was found early in the morning of 21 st December when two tourists were wandering on the South east Path during a stormy night . They discovered the lifeless body of a female teenager . She was a local that had been missing for two days . Wendy was blonde , blue eyes and looked like a young adult. She was also about to leave Sennen Cove for the big city to start at the university . Her parents lived between Sennen Cove and the nearest city , called Penzance. The sheriff arrived eleven minutes later at the crime scene . He was sodden because of the weather . The two tourists were still at the scene . The female had taken a little distance while the male greeted the sheriff and brought the man to the body . Shortly afterwards , Christina Carter and two other deputies arrived at the scene to set a boundary . The investigation began immediately but nothing was found specifically . The only thing that caught their eyes was the missing left heel . 'City police will take over the investigation as of now Deputy Carter . ' 'Why ! We have nothing to be taken over and we should keep our focus on getting something.' 'It 's like you say , we don 't have anything after days of good police work .' The sheriff said . 'F *ck this .' the other male deputy said . 'We had a suspect, right?' , the other female deputy added . 'We had nothing Claire ', the sheriff aid . 'Only a shadow of what might be the killer , or just a flash of something else. It was bad weather that night .' 'Can't believe this is how you respond Sheriff . We ' re cowards. ' 'No Derreck , we are not capable of solving this . City police might not even break this one .'

Episode 10 Atlantic Cottage Holidays, Sennen Cove , 15 January 2010 Robert arrived at the hotel when it was already late in the afternoon . The hotel is located up a hill and is beautiful . Compared to the Inn where Robert stayed , this looked newer, more expensive. It also had more luxury. But Robert is more of a location man . When he arrived n his pick up in the parking lot , he was overwhelmed by the beautiful view . From this hotel you have a beautiful panorama view over the Atlantic . Robert left the car and walked towards the reception . No one was there so he walked towards one of the cottage 's . Before he could enter , the manager run into him . It was an older female in her fifties . Probably closer to sixty than fifty . She was dressed modern , not like other locals of her age . She also wore glasses on the end of her nose , the colour was red . It matched by her clothes . She had short hair , like Dutch presenter Caroline Tensen has . She had a voice comparable with that of Meryl Streep. 'Can I help you with something ?' , she asked on a sharp tone. 'You must be the owner off this place?' , Robert asked gently and offered his hand . 'Yes I am ', she said while accepting his hand . 'Francine Dupont .' she added . 'Robert McEachran . As you already know I 'm not here for a cottage .' 'So you might want to tell me why you are here attorney?' , she asked more politely. 'I 'm here for the Wendy Chaplin case .' 'Why waste valuable time for something like a local murder while you can earn much more with your other profession ? ', She asked while looking at his vehicle . 'I Might ask you the same . A business women like you could earn much more in the big city .' 'Maybe I am . Perhaps I 'm just here for personal reasons ... ' 'I 'd like to have a look in the room where Wendy Chaplin stayed during 19 till 21 December . ' 'You 're smart enough to know you must have a warrant before you ask such a big gesture .' 'Do you have something to hide Miss Dupont ?' , Robert asked gently . 'Are you making accusations?' , she responded irritated. 'Am I ? I just want a look . To figure out who she was .' Robert said while a co- worker passed the two on his way out . 'You already spoken with her parents ?' 'I have . ' 'So there you go. Problem already solved. Now if you don 't mind .' 'Most of the times parents don 't know their children at all . Do you have children Miss Dupont ?' 'You 're the detective , you tell me . Now if you don ' t mind , I really have to go .' 'A shame you don ' t want to help solve this case ', Robert said as he turned around . Francine sighed deeply as she watched the attorney leaving the hallway . She was surprised that Robert stopped by the door and turned around. 'Why did you let her stay? She wasn 't adult yet ?' 'Sometimes Mister McEachran , we take someone 's appearance for granted . That's all?' 'She lived here in the neighbour . You must have known her right?' 'Goodbye McEachran . Go back to where you came from .' Robert left the building as the co- worker was on his way to the front door. They bumped into each other . The man put something in Robert' s hands as he excused himself and continued going inside . He gave Robert a note.. .
