"For what? Mom I am yet to know what is going on." I said and she looked at Uncle John. "Uncle John please tell me what is wrong with me. I need to know. If Mom can't tell me, at least you can." I said and he nodded walking up to me. "Diana someone put something in your drink yesterday. You were poisoned." He said and my mouth opened. I tried to speak but nothing came out of my mouth. "What? How is that even possible? I took the normal drink everyone took. Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded. "I am very sure Diana. The doctor said so. We need you to remember who gave you a drink at the party." Uncle John said and I sighed. "I can't remember anything Uncle John. I can't remember someone giving me any drink. I took every drink from the servers, the tray." I said racking my brain to remember. "Don't worry Diana. We will know the bastard that did this to you." Mom said and I nodded holding my head. "Where is Isaac?" I asked. "Making Enquires. He will be here soon." She said and I smiled. "Mom I am so sorry for putting you through all this. I was so careless yesterday and took any drink." I said in tears. "No Diana. Everyone could fall victim, what I don't know is why they are trying something bad against you." Mom said and I sighed. "I hope Isaac gets something from his enquiry. Whosoever did this to me as to pay for it." I said and they nodded. "They will surely pay." They replied and the door of the ward opened again and Isaac walked in. "Isaac." I called happily as he approached me smiling widely. "Hi Diana. Your visions are clear now?" He asked and I nodded. "I can see you clearly." I said and he kissed me on my lips. "How are you feeling now?" He asked. "Better. Just that, I can't still think of the reason why someone would think of killing me in my mother's party." I said looking sad. "I think I know the answer to your questions." He said and I furrowed my brows. Just then the door opened and I saw Mother walk into the ward with tears in her eyes. "What is she doing here?" I asked angrily. "Diana please calm down okay?" Mom said and I had to cool my temper a little. "My daughter." She called in tears and I stared at her fighting back the tears. "Don't call me that." I said in a shaky voice. "I am so sorry. I know who may be behind the poison." She said and we all looked at her with our eyes widened. "What? Why should you know the person that wants to kill me?" I asked feeling paranoid. "Because I am the cause." She said and I looked at her with great confusion. "What are you talking about sister?" Mom asked. "Tell her to stop speaking in parables, I need to understand what is going on!" I yelled and Isaac held my hand. "Diana please calm down. She will explain, let her explain." He said and I nodded reluctantly. "Thank you Isaac. I suspect someone Diana. His name is Klaus." She said. "Who the hell is Klaus!" Uncle John asked. "Klaus is my husband's brother." She replied. "Which of your Husbands?" I asked sarcastically. "Your stepfather Diana. Klaus is his brother." She said and I scoffed. "And why would someone I haven't seen in my entire life try to kill me?" I asked. "Because he wants Revenge. The two brother were all over me but I loved only one. I loved Elisha more than Klaus, though we have been friends for a very long time." "Klaus was so obsessed about me and wanted me to himself. But when I chose Elisha over him he said he was going to make me suffer by taking my happiness away the same way I took his." She explained. "Why yesterday? Why is he coming now? Where was he before. And why me? I am not Elisha's daughter." I said and she sighed. "He knows I love you so much." She said and I smriked. "No you don't. Why don't you go tell him that you abandoned me for more than 14 years and chose your family over me. Maybe Tron will be his next target." I said. "Diana." Mom called. "Please ask her to leave Mom. This is too much." I said shutting my eyes. I heard her stand up and walk out of the door. "Diana." Isaac called and I hugged him tightly. "I am here because of her love life. Why did he pick me?" I asked in tears. "We will find out. It's possible your father knows this Klaus. I need to do more investigations." He said and I nodded. "I will help you with that. I said reaching for the door. "Mom where are you going? You ignored my question all through yesterday and now you aren't telling me where you are going. That's too weird." He said and I sighed. "Enoch, something came up last night and I had to attend to it." I said. "That's what you keep repeating! What exactly happened!" He yelled. "Fine! Diana took poison at the party, now she is laying on the hospital bed looking very pale and I am going to visit her." I said and I saw shock on his face. "Why didn't you tell me since yesterday mom?" He asked. "Because I didn't know who to suspect. You two have never been in good terms. You could have tried something stupid." I said. "Mom are you serious? You suspect me to have Poisoned the lady I love?" He asked and I furrowed my brows staring at him. "What? What are you saying?" I asked in confusion. "I love Diana mom. I just get pissed anytime I see her with that lowlife Isaac." He said and I sighed. "You know quite well Diana loves Isaac." I said and he nodded. "I know, and I know she could love me too it I act nice to her." He said approaching me. "And you think she would love you after everything you have done?" I asked and he stopped. "Are you taking Isaac's side or what? Cos since I noticed the drama between you two you have always taken his side. Don't you want my happiness? The only person that can change me is Diana, and you and I know that that's what we want. For me to change." He said. "So what do you want to do now?" I asked sighing. "I am going to the hospital with you." He said. "What? No! Isaac and Diana will freak out when they set their eyes on you." I said trying to talk him out of it, but it seemed not to work. "I have it under control mom. Let's go." He said walking out of the house. I followed behind him knowing his presence at the hospital may bring disaster. I could just drive to another place, but something keeps drawing me close to Isaac. So I can't bail out now. I will just have to calm Isaac down about Enoch's presence. We got to the hospital and I climbed down along with Enoch. "I can't wait to see her mom." He said Happily. "And I can't wait to see Isaac punch you in the face." I said walking into the hospital. "Are you taking his side again?" He asked but I ignored him and headed to Diana's ward. I looked inside through the door and I saw her family all inside with her. Even her mother Caroline was there. I breathed out before opening the door and walking into the ward. All eyes fell on me and when I saw Isaac I smiled, and he also has a faint smile on. "Good day." I said approaching the bed. "Good day Mrs Danielle I guess." Caroline's sister rita said and I nodded. "Yes. I am here to see Diana. Hi Caroline." I said and she replied me with a smile. "Diana how are you feeling?" I asked. "Better thank you Mrs Danielle." She replied and the door opened revealing Enoch. "Why is he here? To mock us?" Isaac asked angrily. "No Isaac. I am here to say Hi to Diana, and to apologise for everything I have done to both of you." He said and I smiled. Isaac looked at me and I nodded. "He is sorry." I said and he breathed out. "Diana is here." Isaac said making way for him to come closer. "Hey pretty." He said and Diana smiled. "I can't believe you are this gentle. What Happened Mrs Danielle?" Diana asked furrowing her brows. "A change of heart happened." I replied and she smiled. "I like the sound of that. Thanks for coming." She said and he smiled. "The pleasure is all mine." He replied and we all had smiles on our Faces. "Mrs Danielle, can I speak to you for few minutes?" Isaac asked and I nodded. "Sure." I replied walking out of the ward with him. "I am so sorry about how I acted last night. I was so paranoid, I needed revenge." He said and i smiled nodding. "I understand you very well Isaac. And I didn't take any offence. Of course you should suspect me, I am the stranger who poke her nose everywhere." I said and he laughed. "Not at all. I thought it was Enoch, but we finally got a suspect." He said. "Really? Who?" I really didn't trust all he said. A devil can't just change over night. "I had a change of heart. Mom talked to me last night." He said and I looked at Mrs Danielle who was staring at us. She smiled as I looked at her and I shifted my gaze to that of Enoch. "You can't fool me Enoch. One can't just wake up the next day to have a pure heart." I said and he smiled making me a little nervous. "I know I have been a d**k to you and Isaac Diana. But I will try to change, I just feel bad doing all those things to you." He said and I narrowed my eyes looking at him. It was very weird. "Okay. Let's see." I said and he nodded smiling. "So mom. Do you know Mrs Danielle?" I asked as I noticed they kept stealing glances of each other as Enoch and I talked. "Oh yes. No." They both chorused leaving me in confusion. "Mother replied no, while Mrs Danielle said yes. "What do you think mother could have done? I need to find out." She said and I nodded. "I will do that. All you need to do is rest Diana. You shouldn't worry about adult problems." I walked out of the ward and then I heard Mom talking so I waited to eavesdrop. "Can't you at least act matured in front of the children? If true is the story about Caroline and Mrs Danielle, then there is problem o.

Caroline really doesn't deserve to be a mother at all if that is the true situation report.

Caroline is actually a very cruel woman with many skeletons in her cupboard.

If she (Diana) actually feel hatred towards Caroline, it's worth it although it's a one sided report we are on presently.

No wonder that Caroline dumped Diana to go with her lover.

"I should excuse you now." He said tapping my hand before walking outside. "Diana you shouldn't be decieved by his calm face. I just don't like him around you." He said and I smiled. "Don't tell me you are jealous." I said and he looked away. "Isaac come on. You know how much I love you, I can never love Enoch. He is just a friend, and so will it remain." I said holding his hand and he nodded looking at me. "Let's just embrace him. He wants to be your friend too. Who knows, we could change his annoying character." I said. "If you say so." He said and I nodded. "Kiss me." I said and he smiled lowering his head to kiss me. "I love you Diana. I love you so much, and nothing can stop me from Loving you." "Why did you tell her?" I roared hitting him again. "She deserved to know the truth." He said gaining his balance and throwing me another punch making me bleed. "And who told you I wouldn't let her know the truth?" I asked walking closer to him. "Because you didn't show any attempt to tell her the truth. Why are you so upset anyways? That she realized you aren't trustworthy afterall?" He asked and I got more angry. I wanted to punch him again but Danielle stopped us. "Stop it both of you!" She yelled rushing to us. She placed it on it slowly and I winced at the pain it produced. She did it again and I shut my eyes trying to endure the pain. Before I opened my eyes, I felt her hand move to my collar bone. Why would Issac have the same birth mark with my first son?? This must be a coincidence. I rushed to my room and grabbed my bag, i needed to find an answer to all the questions that was bothering me. I need to see Caroline. I need to know what actually happened to my son. I headed to the door and was about stepping out, when Enoch stopped me by calling me name. I looked back and I saw him staring at me. "Mom are you okay?" He asked when he saw how troubled I was. "I am fine son. I just need to go sort some things out." I said trying to fake a smile. "You have never looked this disturbed." He said approaching me. "Because what I have to do now is weigh important, and my second son is holding back by questions I won't be able to answer now." I rapped and he furrowed his brows. "I will be back soon." I said opening the door and running to the car. I hopped in and ignited the engine, driving out of the compound. I said moving down my shirt down for her to see it again. She moved closer and placed her finger on it moving it up and down while I stared at her. "What's so special about it?" I asked looking at her. "I had someone very close and dear to me with the same mark but I didn't even know he is the one." She said and I furrowed my brows. "Really? Who is he?" I asked eagerly. "I need you to know they didn't turn their backs on you Isaac. They would never, and they regret this ever happened." She said and I got confused. "Wait are you their friend? Did they send you here to say this? Did they appear to you in the dream?" I bomberded her with questions. "No." She said cleaning her face. "So what is the meaning of all this??" I knew how sucking it is when you are reminded of things like this. "Isaac." I called approaching him and he looked at me. "She brought back all the memories of my sufferings." He said in tears and I hugged him letting his head rest on my b**bs. "I am sorry about that Isaac. But can you tell me why she was asking you this?" I asked and he shook his head. "I don't know Diana. She has been acting weird since the time she saw this mark on me." I said lowering my shirt for her to see. "Your birth mark?" I asked and he nodded. "Yes. Since then, she has seemed so concerned about my parents and childhood." He said and i sighed. "Maybe she knows your parents." I said and he shook his head. "I don't care about the dead Diana. It's a waste of time. I have moved on, I have gotten over it." He said and I sighed. "I understand you Isaac. But you don't hate them right?" I asked and he looked at them. "I don't. I know it's not their fault they are dead. I just hate the fact that I didn't spend time with them." He said cleaning his tears and I kissed his head. "Cry it all out." I said as he kept sobbing on me. Just then my phone rang and I picked it up to see Mrs Danielle calling. "Isaac give me a minute." I said and he nodded. I didn't understand what was going on, but I knew if I did this I would surely get what is really going on from her. I reached for Isaac's comb in the drawer and thank goodness, he had his hair on it. I removed a strand and put it in a nylon before putting it in my pocket. I walked to the living room and I saw Isaac was still seated. "Isaac I need to go out now." I said and he looked at me. He looked better than earlier. "Where are you going?" He asked. "Mrs Danielle wants to see me." I said and he stood up. "Why? So she could whine about my dead parents to you too?" He asked and I shook my head. "Isaac, you need answers right? You need to know what really happened and what is going on with Mrs Danielle. I would find out." I said. "No I don't want any answers." He said and I held his hand. "Trust me." She said and it was like i fell into a trance. "What? How is that even possible?" I asked stammering. "He has the same mark my baby had before your mother stole him away from me. The same mark, same spot." She said and I shook my head. "That's not possible." I said trying not to imagine what that means. "That's why I need to be sure, so I need a DNA test. The earlier the better." She said and I took the nylon out of my pocket. "I hope this isn't true. I hope you and him don't match." I said fearfully. "Don't hope that. I have always cried over my lost son for 20 years and now I have a chance to be with him, you wish this?" She asked. "I am sorry but that's not what I am trying not to think about." I Said and she understood immediately. "Diana, Isaac loves you. No matter what your mother did it won't change that." She said. "My mom deprived him of his happiness. Sent him to the streets to eat garbage for 20 years. Do you think it's easy?" I asked and she sighed. "It will be fine. But right now, we need to be sure this isn't a coincidence. I heard everything Diana told him, and I knew if I didn't tell him myself he would never believe it. "She is right Issac. You are my son." I said and they both looked at me. He laughed and then stopped trying to catch his breath. "Guys trust me, I know you are trying to cheer me up about my parents. It's actually working, so let's stop all these okay? You won, I finally laughed." He said and I walked closer to him. "I would never joke about this to you. It's the truth." I said and his smile changed to a confused face. "Diana what's going on? I said I am okay now, so tell her to back off. You won okay?" He said laughing again and Diana stood up. "Isaac I know this is hard. But it is what it is." She said. I wanted to talk but when I saw him raise up his hand I paused. "Okay, what is this all about again?" He asked looking serious now. "I am your mother..." I said and he cut me off. "Don't Bullshit me!!!!" He yelled and we both shivered in fear. "Isaac." Diana called. "Don't! What are you trying to do? Manipulate me? Diana my parents has been dear for 20 years!" Diana I have weeping and grieved over my lost son for years! Now he is here and I won't tell him the truth because of you? That's selfishness Diana." I said feeling angry and hurt. "I am sorry Danielle. I just don't know what to do. If Isaac breaks up with me, I would die. I won't survive it." She said and I nodded. "I understand, and I thinkI know what to do." "Isaac." I called placing my ear on the door, and I could hear him sobbing. "Isaac I need to go out now. Trust me, it's for the best. I will be back soon, so you have the house to yourself for now. But trust me once I am back and you aren't out, i would force my entry into this room." I said and waited for his response but I got nothing. So I walked out of the house heading to Danielle's house. I couldn't stop thinking of how I was going to place it in front of Enoch. I would just have to say it to him, I just hope he doesn't flare up. I kept walking down the street thinking hard and I didn't know when I got to Danielle's house. I pressed the door bell waiting for a response but I got nothing too. "Did Enoch find out and then leave the house?" I asked myself fearfully. I was about pressing the door bell again when I noticed the gate wasn't actually locked. I opened the door slowly peeping in to see if everything was okay. The place was awkwardly silent, so I wasn't comfortable. I decided to walk into the compound to find out what was really going on. "Enoch." I called but all I could hear was the sound of the calm breeze blowing. I walked rapidly to the door and opened it to also see it Wasn't locked. "Enoch?" I called walking into the living room, I looked around me briefly but I couldn't see traces of anyone. "What is going on?" I asked myself. I sighed and wanted to go back when I heard a glass crash startling me. "Enoch?" I called walking to the direction the noise came from. I got closer and I saw Enoch laying on the ground with alcohol next to him. He recked of Alcohol. "Enoch." I called running to him. "Hey Diana." I said trying to stand but he fell to the ground again. "Enoch what happened? Why are you drinking?" I asked kneeling in front of him. "I overheard." He said and I sighed hugging him. "You know already." I said and he nodded against my shoulders. "The Dna test. Is it true?" He asked and I nodded. "It's positive. Issac is your elder brother Enoch." I said and he began to Shed tears on my cloth. "I have always wanted a brother Diana. But now what I have always wanted, happens to be the one I have always hated." He said in tears. "You don't have to cry Enoch. It's shocking to everyone too especially Isaac himself." I said and h disengaged looking at me. "Diana I have done many things to hurt him. He would never forgive me." He said and I shook my head. "You are wrong Enoch. Isaac is not that kind of person. He always forgives " I said. "How is he now?" He asked cleaning his tears. "Still broken, he locked himself up and has been crying, he doesn't want to talk to anyone. Not even me, considering the fact that my mother is the cause of all this." I said and he shook his head. "It's not about you Diana. He just needs time to process it, he loves you,I know it cos he has proven that to me. You don't have to worry." He said and I was surprised. "And you?" I asked and he bowed his head. "I won't be surprised if he doesn't accept me. I don't expect his forgiveness anytime soon." He said. "You really want to catch up with him as your brother right?" I asked and he nodded. "When I overheard you and mother, I sat down and began to think about all the things Isaac has passed through. I mocked him saying he is nothing whereas he is my brother. He isn't poor as I thought he was. Life was just unfair to him." He said and tears rolled down my eyes. "I am so happy you see it that way." I said. "I feel guilty for been a d**k to him, and I am ready to make this right. I would go with you to the house." He said. "And what if he turns you down?" I asked. "Then I will keep trying till he accepts me. You may think I am think mean and wicked, but it's all a lie. I acted that way because I felt lonely and left out. Mother didn't have my time since she met with Isaac." He said and I felt Sorry for him. "I am sorry Enoch." I said and he shook his head. "You shouldn't be sorry for me, I deserve every bad thing. "He is still there Enoch." I said sadly and he looked at me. "Maybe I should do the talking now." He said and I nodded. He moved to the door and was about knocking it when the door opened and Isaac came out. We were startled at first but later gained our ground. "What are you doing here?" He asked looking surprised when he saw Enoch. "I came to talk to you." He said and he looked at me. I nodded for him to listen to him. "Diana I am hungry. I have cried out all the strength in me." He said and I smiled. "I will make something for us. You should catch up with your brother." I said and he smiled faintly. I walked to the kitchen and began to think of what to prepare. But no ideas were coming, I was too happy to see Isaac come out. Then I remembered I have a meal book where I could find something nice to prepare for the new found brothers. I walked to the room and went straight to my drawer, where I always kept the manual. I picked it up and there I saw a chocolate in the drawer. "Hmmmm who put this here?" I thought looking around. I held the pamphlet in my hand and walked out of the room with the chocolate on the other hand. I got to the living room and I saw Isaac and Enoch were talking already. They seemed cool and I was happy. I wanted to ask if he put the chocolate in the drawer but then I thought twice. I shouldn't disturb the brotherly union. I wanted to go away when Enoch stopped me. "Is the chocolate for me?" Enoch asked and I looked back. "Ahhh. Yes, you can have it." I said throwing it to him. "Thanks. You care for?" He asked Isaac and he shook his head. "No. I just want to catch up with life and things. Chocolate won't help." He said and he nodded. "Thank you Diana." He said again before opening it. I smiled and walked back to the kitchen to get the meal done. ENOCH "So how do you feel about this whole mother news?" I asked taking a bite from the chocolate. To be honest, the taste was superb. "I don't know. I feel broken, Like I am in a trance." He said and I nodded. "Truth be told,I don't know or understand how you feel. But when I overheard mother saying all this to Diana, I was broken." "I kept remembering how bad I have always treated you, and how hard i have always tried to gain Diana to myself." "If I knew you were my brother, I would have never done that to you Isaac. I have always wanted a brother but after Mother had me, father has been traveling all over the world. It's just like he doesn't have our time." I said. "You mean my stepfather." He said and I nodded smiling. "Yes. I am sorry for bombarding you with my own problems, I know it lot to process." I said and he shook his head. "It's fine Enoch. It's just so surprising you accept me as your Elder brother, well step brother." He said and I smiled taking another bite. "I have always noticed that anytime you are around mother she seems so happy. I knew there was a connection, but I never thought the connection would be the mother and son own." "I had always hated you because you seemed to have everything even though you were poor. A good and loving girlfriend, nice friends and a wonderful home." "I was jealous because I was just rich, nothing more than that." I stated. "Don't think that way. Your mother loves you." He said and I smiled. "Our mother, not just my mother anymore." I said and he nodded. "Yeah right. Our mother, she loves you. Never question that love she has for you." He said and I nodded. "Okay big brother. I don't know but I feel happy this is real." All I did was weep on Diana's shoulders. I couldn't endure the pay and act like a man. It was so so hurting. I wished that I had the chance to talk to him polity before the truth came out at all. But we were in good terms. We even fought because of my girlfriend. All the memories floaded my head and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. "Isaac it's your turn to say something about Enoch." Diana whispered Into my ears bringing me back to reality. I stood up in front of the whole congregation and walked to the alter where the microphone was. I cleaned my face as soon as I got there. Mother was next to father, her head on his shoulders looking at me. Father was trying to stay strong. Diana was next to mom, they looked so sad too and that was so overwhelming for me. They are the only ones I have left. Tron and his sisters were also seated. They looked sad too and I sighed finally summoning the courage to talk. "The first time I knew Enoch. Gosh, he was a real trouble maker." I said smiling and the congregation laughed for some seconds. "To be honest, he did everything to piss me off especially when I thought he was after my girlfriend. I hated his presence around me." I said remembering how we tackled each other at Caroline's party. "There was even a time I punched him in the face and he bled out. I didn't regret a bit of it." I said in a shaky voice. "But when I knew the truth of my identity, and that Enoch was my brother, I felt hurt. I wanted to make up for the times we fought and hated each other." "The most surprising part was when he came to me after knowing the truth. I never believed he would see me as his brother, after seeing me as a street boy the whole time." "Yes and that's not all. Diana will be going with you." He said and my eyes widened. "I am?" I asked happily. "You two are engaged now. You are free to go anywhere you want together. I have everything under control." He said and Isaac hugged him. "You are the best father. I really appreciate this. But what of mom? Would she be happy without Diana next to her? To help her in the pizza shop?" He said and I looked at Aunt Rita. "I want Diana to be happy for ever because she Worths it. If she wants to go with you, fine. She is engaged and would be getting married soon. I can't stop her, she is no more a kid. And the Pizza shop, it's under control." She said and I smiled. I ran to her and hugged her tightly. "Mom you know I will always love you." I said and she nodded happily. "And I will always love you too. Be happy Child." She said and I nodded smiling. "Who else has anything else to say?" Isaac's father asked and Danielle raised up her hand. "I am going to miss my two cuties. We should have a family hug." She said standing up and we all hugged each other happily. To be honest, I wanted this novel to at most have 30 chapters, but now it ended at 65 chapters. God has been the source of everything. Never let material things push you into destruction. ✔️ Caroline destroyed her life because of material things and that's why she wasn't talked about anymore 4. To the step parents. Always treat your partner's child with love because they are also your children. ✔️This is what Elisha didn't understand, but Daniel got it perfectly. 5.
