Toilets both in our homes and public restrooms have been perceived to be the dirtiest places and also carrying the highest form of bacteria and diseases. But contrary to that fact, research has shown that other things which are supposedly thought to be clean and safe are in fact carriers of bacteria in large quantity.
We bring you ten of such items in this post and you will be left perplexed at the number those at the number one and two spot.
10 Mattress notavailable Studies show that after 10 years your mattress will nearly double in weight thanks to the number of dust mites that it has collected.
9 Toothbrushes notavailable When you flush ur toilet the germs can travel up to 6ft nd linger for up to 2 hours. A lot of them end up on toothbrushes. Bet you didn’t know.

It’s a good idea to wash your hands after directly handling cash. 7 Handbag notavailable Notoriously dirty, they usually contain your phone, money, and other things that after reading this list should give you an idea of why you want to clean your handbag. 6 Fridge/ Refrigerator notavailable Most fridges test positive for Escherichia coli (E coli) a bacterium which causes serious infections. 5 Keyboards notavailable Keyboards can have up to 200 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. 4 TV remote control notavailable In many households, this is one of the dirtiest items they own. 3 Cellphones notavailable Our mobile devices can have 10 times more bacteria than toilet seats according to research. Germs easily crawl onto phones because they’re frequently close in proximity to our hands and mouths. You may want to think twice before letting another person borrow your phone because their bacteria also accumulates onto the device.

2 Ice notavailable A study of fast food restaurants found that 70% of the ice served had more bacteria than toilet water. 1. Kitchen sponges notavailable In nearly every part of the world this is notoriously the dirtiest thing in the house. The kitchen sponge takes the win by being 200,000 times dirtier than a toilet seat. Not only does it absorb water, but it also sucks up a lot of harmful bacteria. We would highly recommend that you change your sponge as soon as possible.
