HMD Global has finally launched its latest midrange smartphone dubbed the Nokia 7.1. The device features a very handy design, with a beautiful notch at the top that enhances its beauty. It also comes in two RAM variants, a 3GB and 4GB variant powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor from Qualcomm.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The Nokia 7.1 is sports a very attractive look, rocking a glass sandwich-style body with diamond cut anodized aluminium frame. The glass on it gives it a very reflective look at all times. In thickness, it measures 149.7 x 71.2 x 8 mm and weighs 160g generally. It is available in two colors; Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel.
Looking at display, it is built around a 5.84-inch PureDisplay screen with notched panel and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels which supports HDR10. All of this is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The hardware is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset which is a midrange processor. There are two RAM variants which are 3GB RAM / 32GB of storage and a standard 4GB / 64GB of storage. Both are upgradeable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS but might also get the Android 9 Pie update soon.
CAMERA
The photography on the Nokia 7.1 is impressive, boasting of a dual rear camera setup of 12MP + 5MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture. The 5MP shoots Black and white colors and supports Zeiss optics and the “bothie” mode which allows you to take photos using the back and front cameras at the same time.
The front camera runs with an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It supports AI Mode and face unlock.
BATTERY
It is powered by a 3,060 mAh battery which supports fast charge tech.

Price: 3GB/32GB version will price at around $349. The 4GB/64GB version goes for around €349.
