Today I stand before my working board gazing at my future projection,
The road map that shall take me to the promised land,
But surely just like the Israelites I will have to go through the wilderness,
To be tried with all manners of trials and tribulations,
But I shall rise above the stormy seas and ride on the angry waves.
The future is brighter like the sun at noon day,
But I will record failures along the way which, of course, doesn't mean greatness is beyond my reach.
When I fall, I shall rise again and again and again,
Keeping my eyes on the prize of becoming victorious,
I shall rise above life's chaos and find in ashes what I lost in fire.
I shall not allow my failures dictate how I will live my life,
I shall struggle and hustle keeping the glories of the future in sight.
Last year's failures will not define my life anymore,
It's a new year and am a new creature with new beginnings,
I shall remain focused and determined having all it takes to attain greatness.
I shall be great under the sun
