“Wait, what? ” Levi, Martia and Kayleen chorused. I had finally arrived home to deliver some shocking news to my friends. They all wore matching looks of shock and envy.
“You’re moving in with Liam Hawke?” Martia yelled, looking like she was gonna pass out.
“You little bitch,” Levi said, taking a little pillow from my couch and throwing it at me, grinning like a maniac. “You’ve been jumping the
bones off that guy, haven't you?”
I opened my mouth to protest when I heard a low chuckle behind me.
All four of us snapped around to see Liam leaning against my door frame. He was looking especially gorgeous today. Martia took a seat, squeezing her thighs together. Kayleen's eyes grew wide and her cheeks turned pink. Levi was looking like he wanted to do the nastiest things to Liam.
Sexy or not, I did not approve of him storming into my apartment and lounging around like he owned the place.
“How the hell did you get into my apartment?” I snapped at him, walking over to him.
He didn't answer, he just watched in amusement as I walked closer until I stood right in front of him.
“Well?” I pressed. “What are you–” I shrieked.
Liam's strong hand had pulled me forward. I felt a soft, warm pressure on my forehead. His lips.
I heard gasps behind me and knew my friends were still watching. I didn't care though, I looked up at him in shock. He smirked at me and I backed away. My forehead still burning from where his lips had made contact with my skin.
“Girl, are you gonna introduce us or nah?” Levi asked, staring between Liam and I.
“Yeah, of course. Liam, these are my friends Martia, Kayleen and Levi. Guys, this is Liam Hawke...my...boyfriend.”
“Ooooo, girl, I knew it!” Levi squealed like a schoolgirl, dancing around. I shook my head in embarrassment, peeking at Liam who was looking at me.
“You lied!” Martia gasped, turning my attention away from his eyes. “You said you two weren't screwing.”
“We're not screwing,” I yelped, my face warm. Jeez, this was embarrassing.
“She’s right,” Liam spoke up, standing beside me and taking my hand. “We don't screw. We make love...and other times we fuck. ” He rose our intertwined hands up and he kissed my hand, looking right at me as he did.
“He is so fuckin sexy, ” Levi breathed to Martia and Kayleen who were both watching Liam and I like we were a movie.
“I assume you've packed your things and are ready to leave.” He looked at me for confirmation.
“Ummm...” I looked at my giant suitcase. It wasn't like I would be staying with Liam permanently, only a few weeks. This should be enough for the time being.
“Yeah, I'm ready,” I said, grabbing for my suitcase, but Liam snatched it up before I could. I smiled at him in thanks and said, “Take care of this place for me guys.”
They nodded and the four of us shared a group hug.
“I’ll invite you over soon,” I said to them as we pulled away.
We waved goodbye one more time and I left with Liam. He was carrying the suitcase down the long corridor like it weighed nothing.
I stared at him. His face, his hair, his lips, those eyes. So beautiful and blue and...staring right at me. I blushed and looked down. Then I thought of his lips on my forehead and my hand...
I peeked at him again, unable to help myself. He was already looking at me with a cocky grin.
“See something you like?” He was grinning from ear to ear.
“No, I'm hoping you don't drop my suitcase,” I fibbed, looking away. He would be so perfect if it weren't for that cocky attitude.
He laughed. “You’re a terrible liar.”
“I’m not lying.” We had finally stepped outside and the limo was waiting at the curb. Paul looked up at us and smiled. “I don't find you very attractive at all,” I finished, looking straight.
Liam's warmth was suddenly gone and I stopped. I looked behind me and saw he was a few paces behind me. I looked at him in surprise, his expression was unfathomable.
“What?” I asked him, thinking maybe he'd pissed on himself or something.
“You don't find me attractive?” he rose one eyebrow, looking like he didn't believe me. “Hmmm...how interesting. You looked pretty damn convincing at your apartment.”
“It’s called acting.” I rolled my eyes at him.
He walked slowly to me until my back was pressed up against the limo. He turned and handed Paul, his chauffeur, my suitcase. Paul went to put my suitcase in the trunk, leaving me. Liam leaned toward me. My heartbeat picked up as I leaned away. I heard a soft click and I realized he had opened the door of the limo.
“After you,” he said, smirking like he could hear my heart pounding.
I hurriedly climbed inside. When he scooted in I slid all the way to the window, sitting as far away as possible.
“To my house, Paul,” he said to his chauffeur.
“Yes, sir,” Paul said.
As the car drove smoothly, Liam turned to look at me, one brow raised.
“Why are you sitting so far away?” he asked.
“Because there's no reason for us to be close,” I said, rolling my eyes at him.
Liam chuckled and scooted closer until his thigh was touching mine. The heat from his thigh burned onto mine, setting my body aflame. And sadly for me, there was nowhere to go.
I was contemplating jumping from the window to save myself from this, when suddenly his hand caught my chin and he pulled my face up to look at him.
“What are you doing?” I asked, trying to break away. His grip was gentle yet firm.
“I think we should practice,” he whispered, his breath caressed my skin. I shivered. “We have to make our kissing look as natural as possible.”
“No, I don't want to kiss you.” I was lying. My entire body was thrilled at the idea of kissing him.
“You said you weren't attracted to me, right?” he smirked. “If you're not attracted to me this shouldn't be a big deal.”
My breathing was erratic as his face came closer. His eyes, so vivid and clear burned into mine. My heart was doing this crazy gymnastics routine as his lips brushed across mine. My eyes closed automatically.
Please, Liam. Please, just kiss me.
But instead of my lips, I felt his lips softly brush against the corner of my mouth. I opened my eyes to see his amused smirk.
“I knew you were attracted to me,” he said, pulling me into a hug.
My heart was still pounding and my lips were still aching.
