[b]First of all, I don't remember me telling anybody to invite their friends to register and vote for any of the contestants when this contests started, and right from the first round, certain amounts of votes has been cancelled for some fraudulent activities by the voters.
Now, here is the question. I as a person can create 100 different mail address within one hour and I can register on coolval with these 100 mail addresses, and subsequently, I may give all 100 votes to one contestants.
Secondly, certain things happen for certain reasons and just like I said, I didn't tell anybody to invite friends from outside to register and vote. No. Someone like me in a department as populous as the Political science department can get close to 100 votes from coursemates and I will win the contest. And Skookum who is very popular on coolval but doesn't have friends outside will have less than 100 votes, does that mean anything?
Going further to say, new accounts, ghost readers voting is not a problem for me personally, but how do you explain it when all of them voted within the same hour? Well, maybe the contestant notified them at the same time, no wahala.
Here is another side. Going back to the 100 mails by me alone and 100 accounts. It takes an average user of this site, one minute to open the voting thread, type in the comment box and submit. And an additional 1 minute or more to logout, log in a second account, type a second post and submit, including the time it spent loading. For someone who came into the thread with five different accounts, and voted with those five accounts, you will agree with me that the time difference between his votes will be two to five minutes. Go back to the pages where the new accounts voted and look at the time frame.
Also, the voting thread was very slow in movement yesterday, but the moment the new accounts started voting, the pages increased within a very short time. You will agree with me that, there is every possibility that the same person is behind the voting.
Lastly, I have no problems with any of the contestants and the easiest way to spot an act is through defence. I didn't mention any of the contestants, yet a lot of people started saying it is this contestant. And I can see someone talking about enemity. Why will you conclude in such manner when you have not been accused? Obviously, the contestant noticed the new accounts too, but no one will complain if it is in their favour like she said. Hence, the conclusion
I won't end without giving facts and figures... During the first and second round, @Tenniebenson and @Promzy had the highest number of new account votes, the votes weren't counted, yet it didn't change anything. During the second round, all the contestants had new account votes which weren't counted, except @Jummybabe who had less. It affected the standing cos Jummy came 2nd. During the semi-finals, they all did and we deducted their votes except @Prestigiousfirstlady who got exactly the votes she polled. Now in the finals, we have the same case and as usual, all the votes won't be counted.
NOTE: All the contestants had new accounts voting for them, even though some had less. Nevertheless, the same decision that has maintained transparency will be made here today and the results would be announced in another thread.
If you have problems with the decision, you can let us know here and we will give you statistical report of how the votes were recorded, how some were nulled and voided.
As I don't know any of the contestants prior to this contest, I still don't know them personally till now, neither do they know me. And you can't accuse me of taking bribe. How much will they give me? I ball on integrity and it speaks volume.
THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE ENTIRE PROCESS. RESULTS IN A MOMENT.
