Meizu V8 Pro is a bigger version of the V8, both of which were launched together at the Meizu event in China. Like the “Pro” name suggests, the V8 Pro comes with a couple of additional features, giving it an edge over the initial version. This includes a better hardware, as well as dual rear camera delivering better photography.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and run on a 4GB RAM space, it’s one beauty of a smartphone. Let’s explore.

*Design and Display
While the V8 sports a polycarbonate cover, the V8 Pro comes in a better Metal body with a well designed structure. The dual rear camera sits at the top middle, with its LED flash on top. The fingerprint scanner stays underneath the cameras for access to the phone. It is available in 2 colors; Black and Gold.

The front screen sports a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 282 ppi density for brilliant display. The screen has a 77.86% screen-to-body ratio. In thickness, it measures 8.1mm and weighs 159g generally.

*Hardware and Software
Behind the beauty is a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset built on a 12nm process tech. It runs on an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Graphics is handled by a PowerVR GE8320 graphics processor.

For multitasking and optimization, there is massive 4GB of RAM, coupled with a 64GB internal storage. Meizu V8 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box.

*Camera
The V8 sports a dual camera combination of 12MP + 5MP shooters, both having a f/2.2 aperture with LED flash for low light environment. The front camera still has a 5MP shooter for selfies.

*Battery
The Meizu V8 Pro is powered by a non-removable 3100mAh battery with no fast charge tech.
