A teenage girl has found herself at the centre of a 'missing persons' search by police, despite simply being in her bedroom. Erian Thompson from Carindale, Queensland, was listed as missing by Queensland Police on Sunday morning with a request for help to find her posted to Facebook.

However the 17-year-old was seemingly confused as to what all the fuss was about when she logged on to social media to inform police that all was OK.
'Guys I'm fine I'm not missing this is an overreaction to a fight I had with my sister, I'm legit just sitting in my bedroom,' Ms Thompson wrote.
'Hi Erian, I am glad that you're safe, but we can't take this down until you've been sighted by police and we've confirmed that you're okay,' Queensland Police replied.
'Can you call again or make your way to a police station?'
A Queensland Police spokeswoman revealed that the girl was located safe and well shortly before 5pm and the missing persons post was taken down.
A post on Ms Thompson's Facebook page just before 5pm reads: 'Officially done here. Any chance there was to fix this is way gone.'
'I've had to cut a lot of people out of my life and now I'm not even upset about it. They can go sit in the middle of the highway for all I care.'
