Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has been rewarded for his recent
fine form after winning
the Premier League PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for
March. The 27-year-old has not had it easy
since moving to Anfield in the summer
of 2014 from Southampton, but has
undoubtedly found his best form since
Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan
Rodgers in October. The England international played five
games during the month of March –
three in the Premier League and a
further two in the Europa League –
during which he created 16 chances,
more than any other Liverpool player
Whilst Lallana only found the back of
the net on one occasion during March,
he managed to register an impressive
three assists with a top-class
performance coming in the 3-0 win
over Manchester City.
As a result of his impressive
showings, the PFA confirmed on their official Twitter page on Friday morning that the attacking midfielder
had fended off competition to win the PFA AWARD.
