[b]According to Sky Sports, Wijnaldum has reportedly signed for LFC on a 5yrs. deal from Newcastle United. The midfielder, who only moved to Newcastle from PSV Eindhoven last summer, featured in every single game for Newcastle last season and managed to score 11goals. Steve McClaren was the man who originally snapped up the 25yr. old for £14.5 m, & he didn’t disappoint in his first season in the EPL. Wijnaldum impressed many at the club and although he’s lasted just a single season on Tyneside, he will surely be missed by many Newcastle fans. The player was a star in Newcastle dismal campaign last season which saw the Toon relegated from the EPL, to the Championship.
The deal regarding Wijnaldum to LFC is thought to be worth around £25m and is LFC 7th signing after already securing the following players, this transfer window:
M. Grujic – Red Star Belgrade –5m
J. Matip – Schalke – Free
L. Karius – Mainz – £4.7m
S. Mane – Southampton –£30m
R. Klavan – Augbsurg – £4.2m
A. Manninger – Free Contract.[/b]
