Some of us, economically, are still working our way up the ladder of life. I won't call it 'hustling' because this frequently bastardized word now encompasses a variety of hustles.
So we just do our small legit jobs, come back home, gather our pennies without stepping down our ambitions.
In today's society, the ones whose self-policy is making it honestly, ain't adjudged life's real winners, and we already know this.
Because despite the many cute sermons on living honourably and decently - aimed at impacting minds, we know where these moral preachers place us on their totem pole.
When the fancy sermons are over, we see the disappointment in their eyes at us not living their idea of success.
We see the kind of people society, including religion, fawn over; their pockets ain't as small as ours.
We see that noticeable sudden drop in respect, courtesy and companionship, after we've revealed how we earn a decent living.
Notwithstanding, we put on our big-boy pants and strive on.
But if anybody should belittle the rest of us still waiting for the sun to shine on us financially, it shouldn't be YOU who short-cut your way through the path to success.
It shouldn't be YOU whose kidney was offered for a paycheck in Malaysia.
It shouldn't be YOU who sleeps on a keyboard all day, switching between hundreds of false profiles opened on different tabs.
It shouldn't be YOU, the insta-fame celeb shuttling Dubai and Saudi Arabia who graces the beds of perverse Sheikhs with their wild fetishes and venereal diseases.
You can live that fast life, get your coins and do whatever. No judgement.
What's worrisome is gloating at people by using items obtained through sordid means.
Moreso, gloating at people who have a story of their 'becoming' days to tell. Do you?
