Instagram has announced it will be releasing a new update for the app, coming with a new feature called “Mute”.
What does this “Mute” feature do, you must ask?
With the “Mute” feature, users can now mute accounts, giving them the capability to hide other users posts without actually unfollowing them.
I believe this is a great feature, because people can now easily choose whether or not they want to see posts from other users on their follow list.
How to Use the “Mute” feature
First off, make sure your Instagram app is updated to the latest one. Then login to your Instagram account, go to Options (…) menu . in the corner of a post. You will find the options to mute posts, or mute both posts and stories from a selected account.
Alternatively, you can mute posts and stories by simply tapping and holding on a story in your tray, or from a profile.
The update will be globally available in a couple of weeks. So look out for the latest update.
