Episode 1.
"Alma! Alma!" Kola called out, as he briskly hurried towards her. Alma walked on, side by side with her best friend, Coco.
Kola hastened his steps, finally catching up with her.
"Hey Ladies, Hi Coco, Alma dear, what'sup" Kola greeted, with a bold smile on his face, turning and fixing a gaze at Alma.
"Hi Kola, am fine and you" Coco responded enthusiastically.
"Hey Kola, whats'up" Alma replied coldly.
The smile on Kola's face faded away slowly. He drew closer to his hearthrob, Alma, took her hands and gently caressed her cheeks, but Alma resisted gently.
Coco stood, watching the two love birds who acted like she wasn't there.
"Alma, frankly, I don't understand you any longer, you seem so distant from me these past few weeks" Kola complained.
"Am sorry but I don't know what you're talking about, how do you mean am distant from you?" Alma asked, avoiding Kola's gaze with her head bent facing the ground as she spoke.
Kola held her cheek, gently lifting up her face to look her straight in the eyes but she resisted again, bringing down her head to face the ground.
"You see, you can't even look me in the eye and talk to me. My love, please tell me what wrong I must have done to you. You've been avoiding me of recent and I don't know why. I call your phone number but you've decided not to pick my calls. I try to talk to you here in school but you have found a way to hide from me. My beautiful rose flower, please you're getting me really worried with your attitude of late, please, in any way I might have offended you, please tell me and I swear, I'll go on my knees now to apologize" Kola pleaded.
"Kola, the one who my heart yearns for, please don't say that, this isn't about you. Its about me and the journey am about to embark on" Alma muttered, still avoiding Kola's gaze.
Kola looked pitiful.
"Journey? Please my love, what ever the case may be, I thought we promised to always share our burdens together, seeing you do this to yourself hurts me badly" Kola said, with his face almost about to shed a tear.
"Please Kola, I know you must hate me by now, all the things we have been through together but now you must let me go" Alma uttered. Tears could be seen already trickling down her cheeks.
"Alma no please, don't do this to me, what are you saying? You're getting me scared" Kola said, already shedding visible amounts of tears.
"Am sorry Kola, but I can't say anything more than this again. Am having a headache, please let me go." Alma pleaded, freeing herself from Kola, as she began to walk away.
Kola watched as the one his heart belonged to, walk away from him while he wept.
Coco who had been present all along, couldn't do but shake her head in pity.
"Kola, please you have to be strong, you're crying in public like a baby" Coco said, bringing out a handkerchief from her purse and offering it to Kola.
"Coco, you don't understand. I Love Alma!. I love Alma with passion. I can die for her" Kola cried.
"Oh Kola, I clearly understand. Even a blind man can clearly see your love for Alma, and honestly she loves you too" Coco muttered.
"Then what may be the problem? Please Coco, you're her friend, tell me what the problem is." Said Kola.
"Honestly, I myself, am still in the dark. She's also been able to keep what the matter is away from me, and has been acting coldly to me too, I wish I knew, Kola, I swear, I would have been the first to let you know" Coco responded.
Kola was broken. His heart had never been torn apart like this.
"Oh Alma, I love you! Why has your love enchained and enchanted me this way?" Kola cried.
"Kola please take it easy, don't take it too hard on yourself, let me go meet Alma and see the information I can gather and I promise to get back to you" Coco assured Kola, as she tried to cheer him up.
"Thanks for everything Coco. I owe you one." Kola said, as they both departed.
