Those of you that went to private schools, answer this question: Please why is there a letter 'D' in Fridge but it isn't there in Refrigerator

Bcos a fridge is usually small and a refrigerator is always big. Don't bother to thank me, I've used to be a genius in my primary school when everything changed in secondary school
