Infinix Note 4 Pro users now have a reason to smile as Infinix Mobility has rolled out a new Android 8.1 update to the device. This is coming after previous releasing an Android 8.0 Oreo update on Infinix Note 4. This latest Android 8.1 Oreo OTA is available via OTA update for Note 4 Pro smartphones.

This new update comes with a couple of improvements including upgraded  battery features and enhanced performance. Arriving via the 8.1 Oreo update is he Android File Go file manager app, helping to save your files and save memory easily. Addition features include Eye Care Mode, picture-to-picture mode, and Duo function for video calls.

*Requirements Before Upgrading Your Infinix Note 4 Pro

Ensure your infinix Note 4 pro is not rooted else it may be bricked
Charge your smartphone battery to at least 95% before you start the updating process.
Ensure you make a Backup of your current firmware in case anything goes wrong or you wish to downgrade your device if the update contains bugs
Make sure you have enough data before you click on “download”. It’s recommended you have at least 2GB Data on your SIM
Ensure there is strong 3G network in your phone to avoid interruptions while the update is going on.
How to Upgrade To the New Infinix Note 4 Pro Oreo Update
Do you want to know how to easily check and upgrade to Android 8.1 Oreo on your Infinix Note 4? Continue reading. On a good day, you should have received a notification for the update on your phone. However, if you are yet to get a notification for the update, you can check for it manually by navigating into your phone settings => About Phone => Check for latest update.

Simple! Once the update is available, tap on “Download And Install” to download the Android 8.1 update on your Note 4 Pro device.

Allow for the update to complete installation. Make sure you do not interrupt the installation or cancel it when it is ongoing, else you might brick your phone. Make sure your phone is well charged too. After installation is complete, the phone will restart into Android 8.1 Oreo.
