[b]Named the “Oprah of Adventure”, Alison Teal, clad in pink and surfing on the pink board, becomes the first person to surf around a volcano. The 30 year old is the first person to swim around the active Volcano in Hawaii. Underwater photographer Perrin James took these pictures of her.[/b]

[b]Teal sought guidance, permission from the Elders in Hawaii before undertaking the adventure since, Pele, the goddess of the Volcano, is a highly respected and often feared force in Hawaii.
'The molten lava would cook a human body in seconds, the fumes are lethal, and the ocean currents and waves are treacherous.' Said Teal....[/b]
