Despite our religion/tribal differences, Nigerians still intermarry for the sake of love.

Although, what most people don't know is that the LIST they give you in the Southeast is very, very negotiable - it's not compulsory you buy every item on it, unless you wish to.

The only thing you can't negotiate is the BRIDE PRICE, which is ridiculously cheap.
For instance, In Umuchoke, Amaigbo, Imo State, the bride price is just N150 only.
I heard Mbaise in Imo is a no go area.

Please tell us yours.

Aw can bride price be 150? Haha na biscuit u wan buy? Its better nt 2 pay @all dan 2 pay dat annoying price.... Yoruba's dnt ask 4 much... Unlike d southern parts... I av once read dia prices in d newspaper... Some of d ppl dey interviewed said... Dey cnt marry 4rm dia state cos what dey will buy nd pay is jez too much. But in my own family... We dnt sell our girls... My dad will tell u 2 keep d money nd use it on ur first child....

Bride price in my place- Aro in Imo is 25 naira, a replica of 25 shillings. But the Brides List is what you should be asking for, off which is not more than 200 to 500 thousand
