Five members of Liverpool's squad are facing a ban
ahead of Thursday night's
Europa League clash
against Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen Kloop and his troops travel to Germany for
the first leg of their quarter-
final showdown, reports the Liverpool Echo. However, several players
are walking a disciplinary
tightrope, with five stars just
a booking away from being
banned for next week's
second leg. Brazilian duo Philippe
Coutinho and Roberto
Firmino, who is expected to
return after injury, would
miss the Anfield clash if
booked on Thursday.
So too would defenders
Dejan Lovren, Alberto
Moreno and Nathaniel
Clyne. All of them have
collected two yellows in this
season’s competition. It gives Jurgen Klopp a
slight dilemma in terms of
how he approaches the
game, although n fairness
Lovren was able to safely
navigate his way through the last-16 second leg with
Manchester United. The Croatian would have
missed this week’s game
had he been booked at Old
Trafford.
