Just a couple of weeks back, Davido’s followership on IG was just at 4.8 million. Fast forward to today, the singer has clicked 5 million, thus taking the crown of the most followed Nigerian singer on Instagram from Wizkid.
If IG followership could win trophies or awards, then Davido would have accrued another accolade to his name with this achievement. However, the singer remains to be congratulated and celebrated for this new level, even though it can't-do any more than attracting thumbs up from a couple of folks who really hold such achievement in high esteem.
Right now, Wizkid is at 2nd place with over 4 million followers. However, Wizkid remains the number one on Twitter with over 3 million followers. Davido is yet to meet up that number over there. That notwithstanding, he has snatched the IG followership crown from Wizzy and could be on his way to doing the same to the Twitter followership crown.
Wizzy must be careful in that regard, as he could just watch Davido benching him in the game of fame, even with his lauded exposure in the music world. It would be such a humiliation. But for Davido, it would be more like a jackpot.
