**MOTIVATIONAL TALK BY TENNIEBENSON** . . . . . Making Impact . . . Life as it is well known is a place filled with ups and down.. A place where everyone strives to make his voice heard... A place where the weak are voiceless.. A place wishes are best exhibited in dreams... . . But do you know you can make a difference? Life is special if you make it so.. And difficult if you present it that way.. . Everyone desires to be heard by all.. Everyone desires to be celebrated.. Everyone wishes to be an icon.. Do you know you can be that "thing" you want? What makes those people you look up to special? What makes them celebrated? What makes them unique? What exactly makes them worthy of emulation? . Nothing out of the ordinary.. But the go-getting spirit.. You also can do it! Stop looking down on yourself.. You are worth more than rubies... God has deposited in you a rare and special gift.. Do you want to waste it? Do you want to take that God given ability back to the grave and be among the wasted talents lying in the grave? . What is that thing that you do easily..but seems difficult to others? What is that thing that brings joy to your heart when doing??? Develop it..that is your talent. There is nothing impossible.. Open your mind to expectations and opportunities.. Aim high and you will see yourself soaring like an eagle.. Get up and work on yourself.. You most definitely can do it... If you cannot do it..no one else can..and if you can do it..then everyone can.. . Let go of all your weak thoughts.. Look away from the closed door and you will see other doors being opened.. You are more than what you think you are.. You are special and a celebrity waiting to explore.. . You are special and unique.. Let no one tell you otherwise... The Bible says.. "Love your neighbour as yourself"..and that simply means you need to love yourself first... . You are that special being the world is waiting for.. You are that person everyone is waiting to hear.. Shake up yourself and develop your talent.. Start up by affecting your family positively.. Be a change in your school.. Your place of work.. And everywhere you find yourself... Be that person everyone wants to associate with.... Make an impact while you are alive... And when you go.. You will be remembered by generations yet to come.. . . . And you know what???? The sky is just a start of point... #winks# . . . . Much Love From The Entire CLV Magazine Crew

international news by Samnolimit 3 International Commitments Obama Wants to Tie the US to Before Leaving Office The Korean Central News Agency, the state-controlled news agency of North Korea, shows a surface-to-surface medium long-range strategic ballistic rocket launching. (Photo: EPA/KCNA/Newscom) By signing onto language declaring avoidance of nuclear weapons testing to be essential to the ‘object and purpose’ of the CTBT, the State Department is in effect submitting the United States to the restrictions of a treaty that has not entered into force. Regardless of one’s view about the necessity of nuclear testing, seeking to limit a future administration through a customary international law mechanism, when your administration has only four months left in office, is inappropriate. Before leaving office, President Barack Obama could commit the United States to two actions affecting its nuclear arsenal, and a third on much smaller weapons. __________________________________ “We will continue to review … steps to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in our security strategy,” @StateDept says.  Ahead of Obama’s final trip to the United Nations General Assembly next week in New York, the administration is fending off criticism for potential plans to pledge the United States won’t strike another nation with nuclear missiles unless the other nation attacks first. Also, the administration is pushing a U.N. Security Council resolution regarding an international ban on nuclear testing, which, aside from policy, could also raise separation of powers questions. The consideration of such measures comes at a time when the North Korean government has drawn increased attention for testing of its nuclear arsenal. Separately, the administration has already said it would up its effort in a long-shot attempt to get the Arms Trade Treaty ratified. ********************************** 1. ‘No First Strike’ Pledge The administration isn’t rebutting conflicting reports about plans to commit the United States to not striking with nuclear weapons unless attacked first. The Daily Signal asked the State Department if the administration will pursue the “no first use” nuclear strategy. “As we have said, we will continue to review our planned modernization program, assess whether there are additional steps to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in our security strategy, and pursue ways to strengthen the global nonproliferation regime further,” State Department spokeswoman Julie Mason told The Daily Signal in an email. Mason referenced Obama’s 2009 speech in Prague that detailed a trajectory for a world without nuclear weapons. She said the administration has made progress, such as the New START Treaty. “Moreover, we are always looking for additional ways to achieve progress on the president’s path forward while maintaining a credible deterrent for the United States, our allies, and partners,” Mason continued. When The Daily Signal asked if recent nuclear tests by North Korea would give the administration pause on a “no first strike” pledge, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said he did not “have a lot of insight to share” on discussions “that may or may not be going on” within the administration. But he wouldn’t deny such a plan is under consideration. “Suffice it to say, the president has made important progress in the last seven years in trying to realize his vision of a world without nuclear weapons and the president is going to keep fighting to make progress in that direction,” Earnest told The Daily Signal during the press briefing. Making a no first strike pledge would undermine that deterrence factor and could make U.S. allies feel less secure, said Michaela Dodge, senior defense and strategic policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation. “To say we will not use nuclear weapons unless we get attacked first is conceptually making that more acceptable to our adversaries,” Dodge told The Daily Signal. “Our allies would not have the same assurances as now—South Korea, Japan, and some NATO allies too.” 2. UN Resolution on a Nuclear Test Ban The Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty will turn 20 this year. The United States is a signatory to the treaty, but the Senate rejected it in October 1999. So it isn’t binding U.S. policy. However, a United Nations Security Council resolution wouldn’t require Senate approval, and the U.S. adheres to such resolution, largely because such resolutions aren’t easy to pass. Republicans such as Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, R-Tenn., have criticized the president’s plan to push a United Nations Security Council resolution regarding the test ban, viewing it as an end run around that Senate. The administration denies it is attempting to ratify a treaty through other means. “We are not proposing and would not support a U.N. Security Council resolution that would impose a legally binding prohibition on nuclear explosive testing,” White House National Security Council spokesman Ned Price told The Daily Signal in an email. “The purpose of pursuing a resolution is to strengthen existing national moratoria on nuclear explosive testing and to improve the global verification architecture for detecting such testing.” Price added this would largely be about marking the anniversary of when the treaty was open for signing. “Such a resolution would not be a substitute for entry into force of the CTBT [Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty], which would require, among other things, ratification by the United States with the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate,” Price said. “The administration is committed to working with the Senate to build support for eventual ratification. In the meantime, it is in the U.S. national security interest to reaffirm the moratoria against nuclear explosive testing.” Corker’s committee held a hearing on a potential resolution last week. “I just want to make sure that we are not allowing an administration on the way out the door to do something that ends up binding us through customary international law down the road in taking actions at the U.N. Security Council that I would deem inappropriate if that were the case,” Corker said during the hearing. In an August letter to Obama, Corker said: By signing onto language declaring avoidance of nuclear weapons testing to be essential to the ‘object and purpose’ of the CTBT, the State Department is in effect submitting the United States to the restrictions of a treaty that has not entered into force. Regardless of one’s view about the necessity of nuclear testing, seeking to limit a future administration through a customary international law mechanism, when your administration has only four months left in office, is inappropriate. 3. Arms Trade Treaty In another agreement that some lawmakers in the United States fear could bring about a national gun registry, a State Department official told an international gathering in Geneva last month the administration would push to get the Arms Trade Treaty ratified. The treaty establishes international and import controls for combat vehicles, aircraft, and small arms and light weapons. The United States signed onto the treaty in 2013, but a bipartisan coalition of 50 senators immediately opposed the treaty. It requires 67 senators to pass. SPORT NEWS BY ADRINO Big Match Feature: Chelsea v Reds Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp recorded the first win of his Premier League career at a stumbling Chelsea last October but it will be different ball game all-together when his side return to Stamford Bridge on Friday. Liverpool have been buoyed by the 4-1 thrashing of Premier League champions Leicester City last weekend but Chelsea now have Italian Antonio Conte in charge and have made a strong start after last year's slump. Former Juventus and Italy coach Conte, dubbed the 'Pep Guardiola of Turin' by Klopp, joined Chelsea after Euro 2016 and has led the former champions to three wins in four league games this season putting them second in the table. The Italian, like Klopp, has become renowned for his goal celebrations and in his case also volcanic eruptions even at near-misses Stones backs Aguero for awards 16 September 2016, 11:50 It is just a matter of time before Sergio Aguero's goal-scoring ability earns him individual honours, his Manchester City teammate John Stones has predicted. Aguero netted his ninth goal in five games this season following his hat-trick in City's 4-0 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach in their Champions League Group C opener on Wednesday. ‘Fabregas needs to improve defensively’ 16 September 2016, 08:47 Midfielder Cesc Fabregas must continue to sharpen the defensive side of his game to earn a place in Chelsea's starting line-up, manager Antonio Conte has said. Fabregas is yet to start a Premier League game this season, making two substitute appearances with Conte opting for Oscar along with Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante in midfield. The Italian manager, though, assured that the Spaniard remains part of his plans at Stamford Bridge. "Cesc is in my plans and in Chelsea's plans," Conte told British media. "Cesc is working very well and improving a lot in many aspects in the defensive situation. "I have to choose 11 players but if it happens that I decide to play with Cesc, another player will be on the bench and I want to see the same attitude and behaviour of Cesc." Robben, Boateng back in Bayern squad 16 September 2016, 13:50 Fit-again defender Jerome Boateng and winger Arjen Robben are back in the Bayern Munich squad for Saturday's home Bundesliga game with Ingolstadt 04. The champions, however, will be without captain Philipp Lahm, Thomas Mueller and David Alaba, all out with a stomach bug. Dutchman Robben has not played competitively since suffering an adductor muscle injury in March. Payet showboating doesn't bother Bilic 16 September 2016, 14:46 West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has defended France midfielder Dimitri Payet after Watford players accused him of showboating last Saturday. Payet set up a goal for Michail Antonio with a 'rabona', crossing the ball with his right foot behind his left leg. Nadal out of Davis Cup opener 16 September 2016, 14:19 Spanish No 1 Rafael Nadal has pulled out of Friday's opening Davis Cup playoff singles against India with an upset stomach, said the tournament website. Nadal had been due to play Ramkumar Ramanathan as the five-time champions seek promotion back to the World Group. much love from the entire CLV magazine crew

Eat a well-balanced diet Having a well-balanced diet is one of the most important parts of maintaining a generally healthy body. Without a balanced diet, it'll be very difficult to maintain proper health. A balanced diet means that you consume foods from each food group most, if not every day. In addition, you should consume a variety of foods within each food group. Having a wide variety of foods from food groups will allow you to consume a variety of different nutrients. Lastly, a balanced diet means eating the right proportions or servings of each food. If you eat mostly protein foods but very few fruits or vegetables, your diet isn't balanced. Following the appropriate portion sizes of each food group: 3-4 oz (card deck sized) of protein, 1 cup vegetables or 2 cups leafy greens, 1/2 cup chopped or one small piece of fruit, and 1 oz or 1/2 cup of grains. Balance your meals and snacks during the day. Aim for three to four servings of protein daily, five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables, and three to four servings of grains (1/2 being whole). 3Go for lean protein sources. Protein is an essential nutrient in your diet. It will provide the building blocks for many functions of your body including maintaining lean muscle mass, rebuilding cells and supporting your immune system. Lean protein sources include: poultry, eggs, seafood, lean beef, pork, legumes (nuts and beans) and tofu. Lean protein sources are low in fat and calories. This helps you get in adequate amounts each day without going over your daily calorie limit. Consuming adequate amounts of protein has also been associated with a general healthy body. Some of these include: better management of your appetite and a healthy weight, support healthy cholesterol and lipid levels and better management of diabetes. 3. Fruits & Vegetables; Make half of your meals a fruit or vegetable. Fruits and vegetables are two of the most important food groups. These foods contain the highest amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. High amounts of fruits and vegetables in the diet have been associated with a variety of beneficial effects on your general health including: decreased blood pressure, better management of blood sugar and diabetes, decreased risk of stroke and heart disease, prevent some types of cancers and decrease risk of blindness. Another thing to note about fruits and vegetables is that each color of vegetable or fruit contains different types of beneficial nutrients. In addition to eating adequate servings each day, make sure to choose a variety of different colors of items 3. Drink adequate amount of water:Drink adequate amounts of water . Water is a vital nutrient in your diet and plays many important roles in your body. If you do not consume enough hydrating fluids each day, you run the risk of being dehydrated . Most adults need at least eight 8-oz glasses of hydrating fluids daily. However some experts recommend consuming up to 10–13 glasses daily. If you are physically active or perspire a lot during the day or during physical activity, you'll need to replace the fluid lost in addition to your regular daily intake. Consume caffeine-free and sugar-free beverages, as these are the healthiest and most hydrating. Items like water, flavored water, decaf coffee and decaf tea are appropriate. Dehydration has many negative side effects ranging from very minimal issues to more serious health effects. Some include: fatigue, mental fogginess, headaches, mood swings, kidney stones and urinary tract infections. 4. Take Vitamins & Mineral Supplements; Some health and nutrition experts may recommend taking a daily multivitamin. These "all-in-one" supplements can serve as a back up to the days you do not eat a healthy diet or are unable to meet all of your nutrient needs through foods. Supplements may also be beneficial for those with food allergies or intolerances, are very picky eaters or have dietary restrictions (like vegetarians or vegans). Supplements are not designed to replace food or to make up the majority of nutrient needs. Those who eat a healthy diet generally do not need to take supplements. In addition, if you have a healthy diet and lifestyle, vitamin supplements will not improve your health, cure or improve disease. They are only there as a backup. Always talk to your doctor about what supplements may be appropriate for you — supplements can interact with medications and are not always safe for everyone. Also inform all physicians of what supplements you're taking, how much and how often. 5. EXERCISE - Exercise your body 2-3 times ; Do one to three days of strength training. The counterpart to regular aerobic exercise is strength training or resistance exercise. These activities help build and support lean muscle mass in addition to providing other hebenefitStengength Strength training and adding muscle can even increase your metabolism and help you lose weight. Regular strength training has many benefits outside of building stronger muscles. Regular weight- bearing exercise helps decrease your risk of osteoporosis by making your bones stronger and denser. Experts recommend doing about two days of strength training each week. It's important to work every major muscle group including: arms, chest, back, core and legs. Lift free weights, use weight machines or do weight bearing activities like yoga or pilates. Separate each strength training day by at least one day of rest to all your muscles to recover and repair efficiently. Move more throughout the day. In addition to both strength training and planned cardiovascular exercise, it's also important to just move more throughout the day or include more baseline activity. Although these types of activities aren't huge calorie burners, they also have a significant amount of positive health side effects. Baseline activities refer to any exercise or activity that you do on a regular basis. This could be yard work or household chores, taking the stairs or walking throughout the day. There have been studies that show that after even one or two hours of sitting there are negative side effects including reduced blood flow, decreased calorie burn and more difficulty manage chronic conditions (like high blood pressure or diabetes). In addition to just moving more, some health experts even recommend getting up for just a few minutes about every hour. 6. Before the invention of gas and electric ovens, Cakes and other snacks were baked successfully on the stove top and also enjoyed by all. And even with the new inventions, we can always fall back on the old baking methods, whenever we simply run out of electric power/gas or when our conventional ovens fail us So here's how to bake cake without an oven. To bake cake without an oven, y ou'll need: For the Cake Batter: - 300 grams Plain flour or Cake flour - 150 grams Sugar - 3 eggs - 120 grams Butter - 3 tablespoonful Milk(optional) - 1 leveled tablespoon Baking Powder - Flavor of choice( I used vanilla) - 1 teaspoon browning (see how to make cake browning) You can also make use of any of these cake recipes; Banana Cake, Apple Cake or Fruit Cake recipe. For Baking the Cake you'll need: - A large aluminium pot with a lid(cover) (preferably an old clean pot) - A rack or an aluminum bowl that can fit into the pot - Foil paper(optional) Steps: 1. Next, place an iron rack (or high aluminum plate or iron gauze) into a clean empty wide pot, cover the pot really tight and preheat on high heat for 10 minutes. While the pot is heating up, beat the butter and sugar together in a bowl, until creamy; add the eggs and beat well; add the milk, flavor and coloring, also beat well and finally sift in the baking powder and flour. Combine all together and pour into the prepared baking pan. Carefully, open the now hot pot and place your cake pan on the hot rack . Tip You can cover the pot with a foil (before placing the lid)to prevent heat from escaping through the sides of the lid) Important Never place the cake pan directly on the bottom of the pot, or the cake will burn. Always make sure there is a seperation between the cake pan and the hot pot 3. Now cover the pot again and leave the cake to bake well on medium heat for about 5 minutes, then reduce to low heat and let the cake continue baking for 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the size of the cake you are baking) Tip: if you are using foil plate as a baking pan, you'll have to check the cake earlier,'cos the cake will get done faster in a foil plate. 4. After 15 minutes open up the pot and check for doneness by dipping the center with a skewer/toothpick. If the skewer comes out clean, then the cake is done baking, but if it comes out moist, let the cake bake a little longer and test with the skewer again, after 5 minutes. This cake took about 30 minutes. 5. When the cake is done, take it out of the hot pot and leave to cool for 10 minutes before turning it over on a cake rack or plate. INTERVIEW SECTION WITH ENNYLINCOLN John Chukwuemeka Agbaeze popularly known as johnnysky is a writer per excellence and an all-round gentleman, But do you know... HE IS ALSO AN ATHEIST? In an exclusive interview with coolval magazine's ennylincoln, the tallest man on coolval talked about his upcoming stories, his irreligiousness and many more.. Read the full interview below. Cooval magazine: Let's us meet you sky Johnny Sky: Uuuhm i'm John Chukwuemeka Agbaeze Clv: You are one of the founding fathers of coolval22.com, how did it all start? Johnny Sky: Well i wouldn't call myself one of the founding Fathers, Val is like the "all father" that found the whole show. I'd say it was a stroke of fate that i stumbled into the website, kinda became good friends with Val. and that's how my own part of the whole show started, guess you could say i was one of the nurturers of coolval22.com but "Founding Father" is exclusive to Val Clv: Have you met val in person? Johnny Sky: Naaaah not yet. . We are in different cities and we are quite busy schedules over all. but its on top of the to-do list, probably will be soon Clv: The forum has evolved over the years, gaining a huge number of New members, what do you think caused this? Johnny Sky: eeeeehm there are lots of factors that contributed to this like Good original stories, trending gossips but most of all the activities by the general members of coolval. This boat paddled by the dedication of the members who began to view the site not just as a website but a community helped a lot in this remarkable evolution. Clv: What's your opinion on the just concluded Miss/Mr coolval pageant? Johnny Sky: to that, i'd say really good choices were made and i'm hoping the new queen and king works as well as their predecessors did Clv: Talking about "work" , what in your candid opinion are the duties and responsibilities of MISS and MR coolval Johnny Sky: a lot actually but i'd list just a little. like coordinating the activities among the members, being the ideal member you know being the member that sets examples for others and helping out the admins in restoring order by bringing reports of such unwanted cases to their notice but make sure they also don't break the rule while at it. lol Clv: There's this narrative of them(miss and mr coolval) making everything seem like politics and government, getting P. A, putting some set of people in charge of some things, what do you make of all that? Johnny Sky: i think that is the fun in the whole game, such hilarious plays keeps people interested in the whole show and that drives the community further Clv: Hilarious play you call it? Johnny Sky: It's a miniature politics and so yes it is funny to me. Politics in a whole sense is hilarious to me as it is being played in this present age Clv: Why have you not been active on the forum like before? And what's the story behind the change in your status as a keymaster? Johnny Sky: i have been quite busy with work and the little spare time i have, i write. there are many stories i'm developing now and i will soon bring them out. The keymaster is something like a status as you call it, nothing special. no strings attached neither does it give more special features. there is no story behind it just go into the background kind of thing. I'm still an admininstrator which is the highest role in the running of the site, Only i and val hold this role for now which literally means i can still change my status to keymaster if i will but that's not important. Clv: What should the members expect from the stories you are cooking? Johnny Sky: As usual there's romance but i am adding twists into the whole plot and action too Clv: Looking at the current Economic crisis we found ourselves in Nigeria, don't you think it's time for Buhari-led government to declare a spy National prayer congress? Johnny Sky: No no that is not going to help, as far as i know "working" works more than "praying". there is literally millions of prayer places all over the country, things are still they way they are. so isn't it time we stopped hoping on God or anything to do for us what we should and can do for ourselves. there is no magic recipe to achieve results, the universe doesn't work that way. Clv: But you are a Christian and the bible says "without his grace, the labourer labours in vain" don't you believe the bible? Johnny Sky: i'm not a christian, i am irreligious. i have no religious affiliation. Clv: An atheist? Johnny Sky: Uuuhm lets just say Agnostic Clv: I came across an article " The Epicurean Argument On Evil And God" are you the author? Johnny Sky: yes, that is on nairaland Clv: Yes, in that article you said and I quote " Is there an omnibenevolent, omniscient and omnipotent God - should they then be evil? Is God willing to take away evil but unable to ; then he is not omnipotent then the above mentioned attributes does not hold sway and such a God doesn't exist." Clv: What informed that conviction? Johnny Sky: It is an argument of definition - if one defines God as "All good, all powerful and all knowing" then how possibly is it that evil can exist in the cosmos. because an all good God would want to take away evil, an all powerful God can and an all knowing God would know every possible way it can be done - so whence comes evil then? the argument doesn't necessarily mean God doesn't exist - it only means a God defined to be "all good, powerful and knowing" cannot exist in such an imperfect dangerous cosmos. such attributes are variance with such setting. Clv: What philosophy do you live by John? Johnny Sky: I loath violence, i do not believe in justice - it is just an excuse we give to be just as bad as the person we accuse, i rather recommend mercy and forgiveness. I believe we should derive our moral compass from our compassion, love, sympathy and societal unity and not from "reward and punishment" schemes, that sounds shallow and selfish to me. I live with a philosphy; be good and receiving to all, strive to know more and be humble the more you know - the universe is an exciting place, there are much to know and see. i'd rather know and see them than waste my time fighting or hating on anyone Clv: What are the areas that need improvement on coolval? Johnny Sky: i think we should develop like buttons that work across all accessible platforms and also quote-able posts. Clv: There's has been calls for the development of coolval application from many quarters, some even went as far as making a prototype, do you think we are ready to cross that bridge yet? Johnny Sky: yes - i don't see why not Clv: You are close to val, how lucrative is the business? Johnny Sky: i think all round cyber business has it's own reward Clv: Does your busy schedule give you playing time in court as a basketball player? Johnny Sky: Well basketball is part of me so i always create time. Clv: Thank you John Chukwuemeka Agbaeze for speaking to Clv-magazine. We are looking forward to your stories Johnny Sky: Thank you too

MR CELEBRITY --BADDEST BOY "Hello?" I said. There was silence on the other end of the phone. Maybe it's a bad connection, she thought. I was about to hang up when— "Hello? Is this Samantha?" A sexy male voice said. I leaned into my pillow and smiled. I had a feeling this was the call I'd been waiting for. "That depends," I said. "Are you Joe?" There was some static on the other end. Then it passed. "Did you say something?" I asked, pressing the phone to my ear. "I said you sound the way you look." "Meaning?" I couldn't stop smiling. After weeks of just being a series of pictures on Facebook, I was actually talking to him. I did my best to keep my voice steady. My heart raced like a stallion, and my skin tangled in hidden places. For weeks, I had stared at his images online. I was like some picture-monster; I just couldn't get enough of seeing him: his dark hair, his biceps (dude was built). There was this one pic of him wearing tee-shirt ( think I had that picture saved on my IPhone, my IPad, and my laptop). I must've had that as my screensaver for weeks. Anyway, in that picture, he's got the front of the shirt raised and Wow! 'Six-pack Alert!' I mean if those aren't photoshoped, then I want to have his babies. Joe just moved into town, he was a model of a huge designer label. He didn't go to my school. I mean why would he waste his time with a public school with THAT kinda money? When I heard he was moving into town, I couldn't believe it. Joe? In my town? There wasn't a teenage girl within ten miles(including yours truly) who didn't want to touch his hand..... or any Other part of his body. But of course, getting that close to him was next to impossible. His school had more security than the White House and the Gated community he lived in had too many guard dogs and surveillance cameras. Renee' my best friend argued that the place was probably rigged with landmines and snipers. "Are you there?" he asked. Just hearing his voice made me want to scream. "... Yes.... yes.... I am," I said. I really hoped I didn't sound like a groupie. Didn't want him to get the wrong idea. But I couldn't help it, I was just so..... blown away. "I'm sorry, I didn't respond to your request sooner." Time stopped. Did I hear him right? Did he just apologise? OMG! "My schedule's been all over the place," he said. This was a dream. It had to be. It took a lot of courage to send him that request on Facebook. I really didn't think he'd respond. I mean, he was a celebrity for God Sake! I was shocked when he accepted, my heart skipped several beats when he sent me a message: 'Can I have your number?' Was I seeing right? Was it spam of some sort? I remember saying a quick 'hail mary' as I typed. I really had no idea if this was a joke. Taking several deep breaths, I hit SEND. What followed was the longest fifteen minutes of my life. When I answered the call, I half expected to hear some stupid promo from a service provider. Then I heard his voice. Of course I knew what he sounded like. I seen over a hundred of his YouTube videos. Hearing him apologise to me was just too much. This guy was a god! "It's...... okay, " I managed. I could feel tiny sweat beads on my chest. "So... em...this is my number," he said. "Is it okay for me to call you?" "Yes.... Sure." I said. Hating the sound of my voice. "Excellent. Will call you in a bit, I'm in the middle of a photo-shoot. Bye Sam." Then the line went dead. How long I held the device to my ear, I have no clue. All I know is my world had changed. I barely slept that night. All I could did was replay the sound of his voice over and over again in my head: '...bye Sam... ' '..... is it okay for me to call you?' It was just too much. The next day was a blur. I barely heard anything in class. I must've checked my Call logs a million times. I didn't want anyone else calling me. But to be fair, who DID call me besides Renee'? As far as the social ecosystem was concerned, I was at the bottom of the food chain. No one noticed me (except Renee') which was understandable because no one noticed HER either. Like any classic geek in a High School movie, we were invisible. "Are you even listening to me?" Renee' said I blinked and brought myself back to reality. We were seated in the school cafeteria. As always, we'd picked the table in the 'Geek-section.' I hadn't even touched my lunch. "What?" I asked "Really?" she had looked annoyed. "Didn't you hear a word I just said?" "I'm sorry," I said. "I just had a lot on my mind." "Like what? Your hot date with Joe the model?" she giggled. I froze. "I'm kidding," She nudged me. "What is up with you today?" "Just dealing with some stuff," I said. "Like what?" I didn't like keeping things from her. But I just didn't want to jinx it. Besides, I couldn't wait to see the look on her face when I took a pic with Joe. That would be something, I thought. "How's Timothy?" I asked changing the subject. "Stop playing with my brother and give him a chance," She sighed. "He's a really good guy." Then it hit me. I had totally forgotten. Less than Seventy-two hours earlier, I had made Timothy a promise. He had cornered me after class. I'll admit, Tim was cute.... in a nerdy sort of way. He was sweet too. He always wrote me poetry. It was nice, it was adorable. I was really considering dating him. But the second I heard Joe's voice, everything else became background noise. Tim had asked me to go out on a date with him. Of course I was flattered. I'd had a crush on him since I was nine. He was an awkward boy with a stutter. I knew what going out on a date with him meant: I would have to answer the 'Can I be your boyfriend?' question. At the time, I was thrilled — so thrilled in fact that I said: "Can I give you my answer by Friday?" "Friday?.... Uh.. Okay," he said. I could tell he was a little disappointed. He liked me, and I liked him. If I was going to give my virginity to anyone, it would be him. I stared at my watch; it was nearly closing time. It was a Thursday. "Going to the movies with Derek on Saturday," Renee' was saying. "Maybe you and Tim could tag along." "Em.... not sure.... " My phone was ringing; it was Joe. My heart was racing again. I got up without even realizing. " What is with you, Sam—?" "Be right back," I said rushing out of the cafe. "You didn't touch your food!" but I was already out the door. "hello?" I said with the phone to my ear. "Hi, you busy?" I still couldn't get over his voice so close to my ear. "Uh... no," I said weaving passed a sea bodies in the hallway. The bell had just rang out. "Wanna hangout?" his voice asked. I froze. "Say that again." There was so much commotion around me. I wasn't sure I'd heard right. Did he just say 'hangout?' "I was wondering if we could have a drink," he said. I swallowed hard. This wasn't happening. It had to be a dream. "Em.... yeah, sure," I said. "but I kinda have a curfew." There was silence on the other end. I cursed myself for being so truthful. My one big chance to be with an amazing person and just blew it. "hello?... Are you still there?" No answer. Crap! "Hello?" I said frantically. I was outside the school grounds and walking fast. Why was I doing that? I was scared he'd hung up, I was scared I might have said the wrong thing. "Hello....?" "Oh, sorry dear,"he said finally. "Got distracted. You were saying?" I felt a massive current of relief swept through me. "Uh... I said yes, we can hangout," "Excellent, text me your address." Three hours later, I snuck out of the house. Mum had taken one of her sleeping pills and was fast asleep. Sometimes, being an only child and having a dad who works overseas has its perks; one of such perks being: less family to worry about. I was wearing the most tight fitting clothes I could find. Make up wasn't really one of my strong suites. God! What was I do? This was crazy. As I said before, I was at the bottom of the social food chain. Sneaking out of the house wasn't my specialty. In fact, I'd never done that before. A black Range Rover pulled up in front of the house. Couldn't see the driver; the windows were tinted. The one on the passenger side rolled down. "Hi, I'm Joe," he smiled. Time froze again. It was him. The ride was like a dream. I could barely speak. Between meeting him in person, touching his hand (actually TOUCHING HIS HAND) and being in the same confined space with him, It felt like I was in La La land. I couldn't believe it! He was here! We were in the same car! I think I was somewhere between a heart attack and fainting. "You're quiet," he said. Hearing his voice and being this close to him was too much for me. "I'm just.... I...I don't know—. " "It's okay," he said placing his hand on mine. A million tingles shot through my skin. It felt like I was swooning. If my heart beat any harder, it would explode. This had to be a dream. "This one guy fainted first time he met me" Joe said. His dark eyes were so intense, I was grateful his driving. If he stared at me any longer I would melt. "Really?" I giggled hating myself for sounding like a groupie. I didn't want to give him the wrong impression— didn't want him to think I was just another girl. I wanted him to really like and respect me. But it was fucking hard to compose yourself when all you wanted to do was scream. "... I'll try not to.... Faint then." He laughed. The sound was magical— just like in his YouTube videos. I suddenly felt very proud of myself; not only was I physically close to a god, I had also made him laugh. "Your profile didn't lie," he chuckled. "You're funny." We drove to his house. There were scores of people outside: fans, groupies, Paparazzi and more groupies. It felt so cool seeing people from the inside of Celeb's car. People were freaking out to get a glimpse of him. Security was having a full time shoving teens from the car. I recognized some of the girls in the crowd. I was half tempted to roll down the window and throw them a big: 'In ya face, bitches!' but I wasn't sure how Joe would see me after that. I wanted to impress him. "Is this what your world is like?" I asked with so much excitement. He threw me a wickedly seductive smile, then did the unthinkable; he rolled down the window. The crowd went wild. Teens rushed towards us with more energy. Cameras clicked and flashed in my face. A smallish guy with a camera somehow smuggled himself behind the perimeter. He got so close, I could smell his deodorant. "Joe.... Joe," he panted. "Who's the mystery girl?" CLICK—CLICK went the camera. I was speechless, stunned and frozen in place. Some girls from my school recognized me. They stared at me as if I were spirit of some sort. A large security guard shoved camera guy away. Then we drove in. I had seen pictures of this place online. The place was immense with more windows than my school. "Why.... Why did you do that?" I was still in shock over the 'car window thing.' Everything was happening so fast. It had to be a dream. "You wanted to know what stardom felt like?" he had a devilishly handsome smile. "Now you do!" My phone started buzzing: Facebook, and Twitter came alive with pics of us in the car. I really loved the way my hair looked. Seated next to him, I looked like a celeb. I knew Renee' would be pissed. Her best friend? In Joe The Model's car? And she reads about it on Twitter? I put the phone on vibrate and tucked it in my pocket. I would worry about Renee' later. And so we went in. "I know I said 'hangout,' " he said leading me to a terrace that looked like something out of a fairy tale. " But I decided we should dine in." The table seemed a mile long, with dishes I was certain I couldn't pronounce. There were two guys in Chef outfits by the door. "Shall we?" he said. A while later, I was stuffed. I really didn't want to wake up from this dream. I was having such a good time. Then my eye went to my watch. CRAP! "I'm so sorry," I said jumping to my feet. "I have to leave." I felt like I was being rude. We were having such a good time, I didn't want to leave. But it was way passed my curfew. "It's okay," he said taking my hand. I felt the tingles again. He drew me close to him. I'm quite certain the earth stopped spinning at that point. This wasn't happening, was my last thought before his lips touched mine. I felt a rush of warmth inside me, a zillion electrical currents raced traveled through me. I couldn't breath, I couldn't think. Then the images came: dark images. The scent of Joe's cologne was gone. In its place was something awful—like burnt rotten meat. It made my stomach churn. I tried to break the kiss—to open my eyes, but I couldn't. Then I saw dark forms—thousands of them locked in some weird orgy across what looked like a dark desert. I couldn't see their faces, but I tell the men from the women: breasts being kissed. The stench was crazy, but at the same time it excited me. I couldn't describe it. My loins fired up and I could feel the moisture in between my legs. One of the figures raised its head. My racing heart froze. It was a woman—or at least it seemed like one. Its skin was covered with what looked like black oil. Its eyes were angry—no, hungry. Her—its breasts were small. "YOU ARE MINE" It said. Then it...... WALKED into me. I could feel her body becoming one with mine. It was arousing, it was.... Terrifying..... I screamed. I woke up to find myself on my bathroom floor. I was naked and my clothes were by the door. My skin was wet. My heart was pounding. Was it a dream? I thought as a shudder went through me. My eyes went to the bathroom mirror. On its foggy surface were the words: 'IT WASN'T A DREAM SAM, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING" Story continues...
