I deliberated on this for long... But I am pushed to share thou. Around 9:30am on Sunday, I was on my way to church and I was late, my brothers already left before me. I was walking so fast in a lonely street so as to get to church early. Next thing I heard was someone calling aunty from afar, I wanted to ignore cause I was late but the voice kept calling and was running to meet me.... When the person got closer, I saw a little boy not up to the age of 10 looking tattered with a shallow voice and a pitiable look, I was shocked. He said "Aunty please feed me, my younger brother and my granny" I was short of words, thinking was he for real, cause the world is evil and I resolved to ignore him. He kept asking me for help saying I should give him, even if it is 20 naira that they havent eaten since Saturday afternoon, I told him I had no money with me that the one with me was for offering, he wanted to cry and I knew he was serious, I had to take 100 naira from my purse and gave it to him, he was so happy that he kept on saying thank you, till I sent him back.
My reason for sharing this is because we waste the little we have not knowing that some people can be saved through that little we see as trash! We should be thankful in whatever situation we find ourselves.... Some people are looking up to us as we are interested in looking up to others. Let us learn to show pity in our home, society, place of work, churches, mosques, institutions etc..
I wanna encourage the youths like myself, let us be the change the world is asking for. We could make the world a better place.
