A billionaire businessman has been left heartbroken after his beauty queen wife he thought was kidnapped was suddenly discovered to have fled to America with another man.
Dailymail reports that Italian Gianluca Cervara contacted police after Anna Zaiachkivska - winner of the 2013 Miss Ukraine beauty contest - vanished in July.
The 24-year-old model had married Mr Cervara in a registry office in December, and the couple were planning a formal church wedding this month.
But, it seemed she was not happy as she suddenly disappeared after posting: 'My amazing Gianluca Cervara, thank you that I can be your flower and part of the family.' She had claimed she was going to get some fresh air, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports.
Mr Cervara reported her disappearance to police after she failed to return to their home in Milan.
However, things have taken a new turn as the man has now sued the wife pictures emerged on Instagram of Ms Zaiachkivska in the USA with another man. She alleges that she left because her new husband had been violent towards her.
Ms Zaiachkivska told Ukrainian website tochka.net: ' He raised his hands against me.
'The first time when he did it I ran away to my parents' house in the western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
'I did not tell them what the matter was. He came to get me, and I gave him a second chance, but during an argument he spat in my face, and I simply could not take it.
'I said I am going to leave him, but I changed my mind again.
'I had headaches for a week but Gianluca did not care about it. Finally I decided I needed to make changes as I was fed up of living in a golden cage and I ran away.'

But her husband has hit back.
Mr Cervara told the same website that he is suing his wife for non-compliance of their marriage contract, stating that she had violated their prenup agreement.
He said: 'Judging by her photos she is in New York and is working as a model there.
'She has lots of pretty photos taken in five-star hotels, she is posing with other men. She does not look unhappy at all.
'All I can say is she is not the person she is pretending to be.'
It was reported on Russian glamour site cosmo.ru that Ms Zaiachkivska took £5,000 (6,000 Euros) and his mobile phone from her husband's safe when she left Milan.
