Good night’s sleep is essential for your health. However, if you eat these foods, do not even dream to sleep like a baby! notavailable
These are the killers of your sleep and enough rest and may evoke nightmares.
1 PIZZA
Few pieces of delicious pizza can give you a sleepless night. Why? Just because it’s fatty and juicy. Your digestive system would need all its capacities to process it. You may get heartburn or pains in your stomach or just the need to wake up and wait for the food to be digested.
2 ICE CREAM
For one, eating it may cause nightmares. Ice cream is sweet. It supplies your body with much energy, and since you are going to bed, you have no chance of spending it. You may either have a sleepless night or turn those calories into fat. Plus, you get rapid ups and downs of sugar in your blood.
3 CELERY
It’s a veggie, and it has to be good for your body, but do not eat it before you go to bed. Why? Well, because it has a strong diuretic effect. It means it causes your body to shed water, and you will wake up many times during the night to urinate.
4 SWEET
Sugar in the blood affects the brain waves, and those give us nightmares. So, unless you like seeing horrible dreams, stay away from eating candies or chocolate before you go to bed.
5 ALCOHOL
Some people believe it can help you to have a better sleep, but that’s not true. Until it stays in the body, it keeps you asleep, but once it gets processed, you wake up. The sleep becomes shallow and unsound.
6 GARLIC
If you eat it right before the bedtime, you can get severe heartburn or an upset stomach. And that’s the last thing you need for a good sleep.
7 RED MEAT
It has tons of fats and proteins. Your stomach would be forced to digest it all night long. Plus it can give you nightmares. So, it’s a perfect sleep killer.
Avoid these foods to have a great sleep at night and wake up fully refreshed..Source:naij
