Lee Rigby's executioner has propelled a pay offer over a fight with jail monitors that could cost citizens £100,000. Michael Adebolajo claims he has been left with ‘psychological injury’ after he was left with two teeth missing following the incident in 2013. He has now filed a writ in the High Court asking for £25,000.
But with costs for a police investigation and legal fees taken into consideration the total is likely to be around £100,000.
Adebolajo, 32, and his accomplice Michael Adebowale, 26, ran Fusilier Lee over with their car near to his barracks in Woolwich, south London, on May 22, 2013.
The killer then tried to cut 25-year-old Lee’s head off using a knife and cleaver as shocked crowds called for the emergency services.
Adebolajo is serving life for the horrific murder, Adebowale was told he must serve at least 45 years.
Last night Lee’s mum Lyn told The Sun: “This is gut-wrenching for me, my family and Lee’s memory.
Adebolajo indicates not a solitary ounce of regret or lament for the life he took or the family he wrecked.
"What's more, still he holds his give out for blood cash.
"He hasn't endured. He doesn't know the importance of torment."
