2017.
The extremely cold weather almost made me jumped out of my skin as cock crows while I was lying on my bed covering myself with packs of cloth.. Yeah it was Monday,, my first day in university.. As a 17year old boy in a well known state university ,, I was more than happy at the same time wondering how to mingle and make friends.. I still remember my step brother saying university has many pretty girls,,chaii.. I was still imagining things while smiling to myself when I remembered freshers orientation begins at 8am..chesus,,and this is 7:10am..
With speed of superman mixed with flash I dashed to my bathroom and was able to finish within 10minutes,,thanks to superman and flash..with Captain America speed,,I was able to dress in 5minutes..thanks to captain this time.. I moved closer to my standing mirror,,damn,, my dimple reveal itself as I dash out a smile making my pink lips more visible with set of white teeth underneath,,I redressed my shirt that was shining on the blue jean all on my white fenti shoe...
I later dashed out of my hostel or should I say my self contained house.. A small house with single room containing kitchen and bathroom.. The hostel was located at section 2..there is VIP section containing rich kids and yahoo guys and vvip mainly for the butters, you understand naw..
I had to trek to school as it was not far from my hostel.. On getting to the overcrowded hall.. I sat at the corner side of the hall located at the back as the front seat have all been occupied.."Hello" Mary mother of Jesus she had ur voice.. I turned to see,, yes mother of Jesus,,no wonder jesus is handsome.. Am really chanced to be sitting with her.. "hi" I quickly replied..
I removed my phone with my power bank from my backpack atleast to keep my mind away from Miss mother of Jesus..in no time,, I have plugged in my earpiece jamming tekno only one.. Not that I really like the song but I just have to play any song in the situation am in..someone suddenly tapped me which made me quickly removed my earplug and turning to the direction,, Lo and behold,miss Mary smile flashes through my eye sending messages to my brain as I watched her park min young lip and neatly parked Selena Gomez hair.. Geez..
"I am talking to you and why are you staring like that" she said tapping me again amidst smiles..
"oh, am sorry,, you say?" I quickly replied..
"can I have a port in ur power bank?" she said still smiling..stop smiling joor,, my brain is doing rotational motion na
"oh, no problem" I replied smiling back..i heard am more cute when I smiles.. Oh,,I can't believe mum..i quickly collected her yea,,I know what you thinking.. IPhone 7s..chaii,, me wey dey use Infinix hotnote..i glanced at my phone shaking my head..in my mind Tho.
"am Jason,, nice to meet you miss mary" I said still smiling while she was staring at me somehow..like she was surprised or something..yea,, am the best guesser..can still remember how I guess fifteen games in bet9ja to win 2k..yea that's me.. What are you thinking?.. Better don't talk..
"how did you know my name?" she asked with a surprise look..
"you actually looks like mother of jesus" I said feeling myself while she bursted to laughter making me confused..please is that funny.. Shut up joor..
"you've met mother of Jesus before?" she asked still laughing..
"no,, but I have seen her before.. Actually in movies and books" I replied..
I realise we are in same department as we were gisting.. Chaii.. She can talk ehn!!.. After the pot bellied man is done with his lame advices..we both walked outside the hall.. We were still talking when vencer 2016 was suddenly parked just few steps from us.. The window was lowered revealing a guy with beards and wizkid glass..
"I must go now" she said smiling..i told you to stop smiling na..
"oh, alright" I replied instantly not really happy,, I know its obvious that she patted my shoulder..i know the glass/shade guy must be her boyfriend..
"and errm.. Actually am Anna and not mary" she said laughing and actually heading to the car while I bit my lip embarrassingly..chaii...i smiled over it..
"see you again next time" she finally said as she entered the car and I watched as they zoomed off..oh damn.. I didn't get her number.. Am really stupid am I not.. I scratched my head then head to my hotel.. "School wasnt that bad today" I murmured to myself as I entered my hostel ,closed the door and jumped on my bed..
A week later..during the previous week,, no matter how much I searched for Anna..i won't find her despite we are in same department..i was washing my clothes on Saturday morning playing song with my phone speaker alongside when I felt something in my shirt pocket..like money..chaii,, And ah dey suffer.. i quickly dug my hand inside the pocket and I was surprised and angry when all my hand could bring out was just a small paper.. I turned to other side of the paper to see what I could say is strange to me.. A phone number with a text.. "call me"..what?.. Why is this in my pocket?..
Having washed all my clothes,i decided to call the number tho still wondering why the paper is in my pocket.."hello" a familiar voice jolted me off my thoughts..
"hell..o" I replied stammering..
"Jason?" she asked which sent me back my lost brain and made me recognised the voice as Anna's..
"Jason is that you" she asked again..
"oh, anna" I said smiling like I won a lottery..chaii
"what took you so long?,, you know how long have been waiting for your call?" sounding childish..
"my bad miss mother of Jesus" I said while she bursted to laughter..its really funny this time.. Ha ha ha..
"I thought I won't see you again" she said
"same here oo..but am really popular,,all you have to do is ask someone,, who is Jason collins..am kidding tho" I replied while she went to another round of laughter..ma,, my airtime is cutting..stop laughing joor..
"can we meet as in now?" she asked which sent shocks to my body.. I haven't bath.. And yeah am smelling like mama nkechi mouth.."really?" I replied..that was really not what I intended to say.. As in yes, am on my way not even knowing the address..i plan to say that..
"I'll send you the address,,don't keep me waiting okay?" she warned and hang up..
Yeah.. With Captain America,flash,superman and zoom speed.. Am already done bathing and dressing in 10minutes..dont ask how I did it.. Go ask those superheroes joor..i quickly checked the address on my phone to see "blah blah... Restaurant" restaurant?...chaii.. My last card is 7k..i quickly headed to the restaurant with my 7k..she waved at me the moment I stepped inside then i headed towards her and later sat on the chair placed behind the table fronting her. ..
We chatted eating alongside..i was surprised when the waiters said she have already paid when I wanted to pay after the food..we walked outside the restaurant still gisting..her phone suddenly began ringing and that was when we realised we have been holding hands since..my shying situation made me stare elsewhere while she was recieving the call..i could make out..
"am in my hostel" she said

"no don't come, am okay" she replied with an angry tone..
She later hang up and suddenly just two minutes later the same vencer from the other day parked beside us and this time the beard wizkid glass guy stepped out and obviously smelling of money..
"I thought you said you in your hostel" the guy asked removing his wizkid glass.. Yeah his face was scary..
"so? why the hell you stalking me then,, as you can see am with someone,,you should leave" she replied angrily..
"I see nobody here except you Ann,,and yea you are wrong,am not stalking you,, I came here to eat and I happened to see you" he said almost laughing..
"so?,, goodbye then" she said and held my hand about walking away
"you know what will happen if you don't follow me ann" he said with an angry-calm voice while she bit her lip angrily..
"am sorry Jason,, I'll explain later" she said looking into my eyes..
"it's nothing ma" I said while she laughed and entered the car.. The guy also entered yea after shooting me a murderous look..he started the car and they zoomed off..
Our relationship graduated from ordinary friend to best friend..First semester ended eventually and second semester began after little break.. No doubt I have already fell for Anna,,I shut my mouth coz am scared I'll lose her if I reveal my feelings and she doesn't feel the same.. She told me about Felix,, the vencer guy,, he is her father's best friend first son..he is in 300level and was instructed to be watching over Anna.. I really hate that guy ehn!!..
I was playing games in my hostel one faithful afternoon when a call landed on my phone and the caller was Anna..i quickly picked it..
"Hi ann" I said
"Jason,, can you come over to my hostel,i don't know what's happening to me" she replied sounding somehow
"wh..at,, but I don't know your hostel" I replied
"vvip section,,please hurry jason" she said
Chaii..did she said vvip section?..i quickly changed into a simple cloth,, a black on a knicker then dashed out.. After much description,i got to her hostel or I should say house.. I quickly knocked the gate and was opened after 3minutes..i was surprised to see Anna smiling..whats really going on..she clad in a short skirt and an underwear-like top.. Chaii.. My eyes isn't going there..
"are you okay?" I asked out of worriedness
"let's enter Now" she replied childishly
We entered her glamorous house,,chaii,, this girl ehn!!.. Her nickname should be MANI.. Yeah MONEY IS different from MANI..oya call wole Soyinka to pronounce MONEY,,u will understand then..i was dumbfounded as I was looking around the..the..the..heavenly sitting room..i sat on the golden couch fixing my eyes to the very large plasma fitted to the wall and home theatres placed beside it.. Chaii..i must rich oo...she later served me my favourite lemon drink while I sipped as she walked to the home theatre and played mama by mayorkun...she moved closer to me then held my hand..
"come on,, let's dance" she said rolling her eyes
"dance?" I thought you said something is...or did you..." I asked confusingly
"yea,you are right,,I tricked you,, I know when you won't come if I asked you to come and am not sorry" she said slapping my shoulder while I smiled..wait,,I could feel/here a danger beep from inside my boxers..chaii..
"but I don't really know h...." shhh..she placed her finger on my lip and forced me up..
We began dancing slowly and romantically,,something suddenly led to something..i don't really know how the thing manage to turn to another thing,, u understand jawe..she planted kiss of life on my lip while I hold my breath as my brain kept ringing..
"Jason,,I think am in love with you,,sleeping is hard without hearing your voice,, I can't live without you" she confessed staring in my eyes..
"I feel the sameway Ann..you all I care for,, am scared I might lose you,, that was why I didn't bother to reveal my feelings.. Am sorry" I replied quickly..
She stared into my eyes for few seconds and suddenly our lip met sending signal to the real Jason..the situation was about graduating to something else when someone opened the door.. We quickly disengaged and turned to the direction to see Kelvin staring murderously.."I'll kill you fool" he said then ran to me and then I felt something piercing through my skin..yes..i was stabbed.. I fell to the floor gasping for breath while Anna was shouting my name kneeling beside me.."I warned you to stay away from her you fool....." that was all I heard before everything went blank...
I woke to the beeping sound of the machine lying on the hospital bed while Anna was crying beside me holding my hand and her two friends Monica and Ella was consoling her.."ann" I called..
"Jason is that you?.. Doctor" she shouted holding my hand more tighter...
Spending four days in hospital wasn't easy at all.. I was finally been discharged..and I was told Ann cleared the bill.. She helped me into her car and we drove off..she narrated how Kelvin asked her out many times which she declined...she revealed Kelvin was nowhere to be found and especially he is a cultist and the leader at that..that was when I know am in trouble.. As in am dead..chaii..she later parked at the front of my hostel..i knew there is something going on the moment I saw my padlock broken..we quickly entered to see the surprise of my life.. All my stuffs has been destroyed..my ps3,,my TV.. All is gone.. Chesus..am in trouble..
"here is not safe,, you will have to be staying with me for awhile"she suggested holding my hand..i quickly agreed and we drove to her hostel..i was lying on the couch at night resting my head on Anna's lap probably watching a boring show together..i can't believe she was still laughing to that whack show,,pfft..a scary knocks suddenly made it way to the door..anna stood up and I quickly held her hand..
"it's dangerous,,did you know who that is" I whispered shaking heavily..
"it should be adamu(her gate man or gatekeeper,anyone)" she said smiling and went to open the door..she finally opened the door and Kelvin storm inside pushing her backward and sure I held before falling,,
"it's good to see you too,,you will surely make a great couple,,I mean in heaven.. Coz right now(he cocked his gun) you are both dead" he said laughing like a mad man..
"stop this Kelvin.. You are crazy" Anna yelled..
"yes am crazy.. Am fucking crazy because of you,, I loved you Ann.. You would be mine if not for that rat" he fired back pointing at me.. Am a rat?.. "Amadioha punish u,fool"..i said in my mind na..
"no, you are wrong Kelvin,,I cannever be yours,, never.. Am giving You a chance to leave quitely" Anna said sounding more like joke to me.. What can she do..
"your senator father is not here to protect you,,is he?..lets finish this"..he yelled holding the gun aiming at us.. Chaii.. So her father is a senator..cheii..no wonder.. Her nick should now be MANI MANI..what? ..In this situation?..."drop your gun or I'll shoot you" I heard a thick voice from my back.. I turned back to see two police men..i looked at Anna amazingly,,chaii.. I don't know when I hugged her..as in who wants to die...
"you fell into a simple trap kelvin,,I don't know you are still stupid" Anna said mockingly...
Kelvin was arrested,i and Anna then moved to the room..i was surprised when she wake me up in the midnight and started licking her lip..no be today oo..
"my wound is still...." shhh..she placed her finger on my lip again then climbed on me..chaii.. I held her pyjamas trying to lift it up when a slap landed on my cheek.. What?.. Are you not the one that wanted to do it.. I tried again and another hotter slap landed on my cheek making jump up from my bed.. As in chaii.. My own bed in my own house.. All was a dream.. Chaii.. So my Anna is not real.. And the slaps was from my 14year old cousin who came to my room to wake me up...yes I just got admitted to university,,maybe that was why I had that dream...how I wish it was real..
"uncle what are you trying to do" my cousin shouted..
"what" I replied so confused...
"Mummy,, Uncle was trying to touch my skirt" she screamed crying alongside then stormed outside..
"JASON" my mother yelled...oh, yes..mum will now be my Kelvin coz am dead already...
