◆Toyin's father went to Federal
Polytechnic, Bida, in 2007, to see his
daughter all the way from
Ogbomosho. She was not in the
hostel, but he saw her closest friend,
Kemi.
◆Toyin's Dad: Woo Kemi, wa nibi,
nibo ni ore e wa?
◆Kemi : Toyin lo Doko, Sir.
◆Toyin's Dad: O ni Toyin lo se kini?
◆Kemi: Ani Toyin lo Doko, Sir.
◆Toyin's Dad: Ko gbodo jebe!!!
◆Kemi: Daddy, mi o paro, Sir. Toyin ti
lo Doko lati ale ana ni, Sir.
◆Toyin's Dad: Haaaaa!!!!! Gbenu e
soun, onisokuso. Bawo ni Toyin ma
se lo Doko, ni gbati ko n se omo ale.
◆Kemi: Mi o paro, Sir. Toyin o sese
ma lo Doko, o ma nlo nigbati a ba wa
less busy.
Toyin's Dad: E ma gba mi ke.
(Toyin just walked in and was
excited to see her dad.)
◆Toyin: Baba mi, ekasan, Sir. Maami
nko? Abi o ti pe ti e ti de?
(Toyin's Dad pounced on Toyin and
beat her mercilessly. It took several
pleas from some lecturers around to
stop him from killing her.)
Toyin's Dad: Iwo lo se iranu nigba ti o
ye ko ma kawe.
◆Toyin: mio se iranu Baba mi. Mo lo
Doko ni. Doko o jina sibi yi.
(Toyin's dad was
Confused!)
Toyin: Baba mi, Doko is a small town
after Bida, Niger State. That is where
I do the Research for my Project.
◆Lecturers: Toyin's Dad, if you do not
know, Prof Jerry Gana is from Doko
and there are other 7 Professors
from the village.
◆Toyin's Dad: Modaran, o ma ye ki
